“Cockroach in bathroom in the middle of the night. Awful smell from the bathroom drain that we ended up putting small towels over it to stop the smell. Mould spores and mould on curtains in lounge room. They put us in a room directly across from the golf club and restaurant. From 4.30am very loud noises and people congregating behind my bedroom window talking loudly. Told reception who couldn’t care less and that’s it’s a golf resort so what do you expect. Still they are happy to take your $400……

“Lovely comfortable beds. Nice view if you have breakfast there. Downside is if you want breakfast, you have to pay for a buffet - no ala carte menu or ability to just order coffee.”

“Upon arrival at the motel we were concerned , it is currently undergoing major reconstruction and renovation, this is not mentioned in the motels site listing on Expedia. It looks like a demolition site and we were not even sure if we had the right place. Upon finding the office a friendly enough gentleman checked us in and sort of apologised for the state of the place. Our room in the remaining block of units was clean and tidy, the only real issue being the tv not working, which turned out……

“This was budget accommodation and was adequate for sleeping and relaxing. The room was clean. Hot water took ages to arrive after turning on. The bathroom sink had a crack although did not leak. The front door lock was stiff and sometimes the door bolt would get stuck inside the faceplate - it had to be banged to get it to release.”

“Despite booking three weeks prior to arrival, the Owner had not looked at my booking, including lower bunk only for the two nights, due to my disability preventing me getting up into a top bunk. This request has never been an issue in any other Hostel. Additionally, there is a strict rule, only advised on arrival, of no alcohol to be consumed on or off site for the entire duration of stay, plus the additional rule of no drugs, including prescription and over the counter, to taken taken, again,……
