San Juan del Sur Yankee Beach Hotels

" inside the apartment was excellent. Everything was as expected or better. Information on Orbitz is not accurate. There is no mention that there is an extra charge for excess electricity usage. There is no laundry included. Only “for pay laundry” is available. Google Maps directed me to the wrong street. There was no address on the property to indicate which door to enter. The pool is not inside. No response to email message to host for entrance instructions. The host agreed and explained that the problem is with Orbitz and needs to be addressed by host. "

"This is a very convenient place to stay for dining and the beach! Our room at the end of the building closest to the beach has an unbelievable view that we loved! The downside of the view is that the music from town can be very intrusive. Just bring earplugs and enjoy! The description of the hotel says they have a bar and breakfast. There is no bar and the breakfast is offsite. It’s only a block or so away so not too much of a hardship but you won’t be having breakfast in bed. We had to change our reservation by a day and while I had difficulty with Hotels.com, this property worked with us which was GREATLY appreciated! Really lovely and convenient place to stay!"

"Cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband, one year old, and I stayed here. The location is excellent, steps away from gorgeous Coco Beach and a sparkling swimming pool. Along the shore the facility has comfy Adirondack chairs and beach loungers right by the shore. Maybe we saw 10 people on the beach on the busiest day. The condo is gorgeous with all the appliances you’d need- microwave, oven, stove, fridge, washer/dryer, can opener, utensils, etc. There is air conditioning throughout the house. The community is gated and felt very safe with security personnel present on the grounds. The road there is under construction, at this time there is only a short stint of a well maintained dirt road- the rest is paved. We made it easily in our sedan. I do recommend stopping to get groceries in Rivas on the way down- the area is remote and private :) "

"Lots of stairs to walk down the cabin, needs lighting. It was super dark and very unsafe for us at night. Super deep. There were lot of ants and bugs walking around the place. Please be aware of security cameras looking at you, no privacy. With was one of the reasons that I booked this one. Breakfast was late and very simple. No parking lot. Other than that is ok."
