"With basic amenities of tourist destination hotels like a clean room (only cleaned upon request), drinking water(referring to the 2 small bottles of water given in the room), fresh towels ( again upon request only), clean swimming pool (gathering ground for mosquitoes), 24/7 electricity missing for this hotel and the fact that it is located far from tourist attractions, I highly recommend not to choose this hotel. The only saving grace for this hotel is the good food."

"At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."

In particular Udaya went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble at all. Our only negative was that we didn’t stay here longer! "Srimali's Residence has plenty of potential but it's the small things the owners need to look at. On the positive side, the rooms are big, as are the bathrooms, the location is fine, ten minutes walk to the beach and a couple of minutes to the bus stop into Galle, pleasant surroundings with the occasional monkey sighting and plenty of stripy squirrels. Breakfast was OK and the family friendly. When we arrived only two of our three rooms had a towel. Safes were on the tables but not secured so...

"everything is made to make you feel welcome, the staff is wonderful, from the cleaners to the pool technician, the cooks , the people at the reception and the manager, thank you all for this lovely stay! the place is a little paradise on earth, the rooms, the restaurant, the swimming pool, the location, one of the best place we ever stay. 2 steps away from the beach, jungle, shopping, restaurants etc.., but away from the busy main street. will defitinely come back!"
