"We turned up at the hotel for a 3nights extended bank holidays weekend just to find out that the hotel was privatised and fully booked with nowhere to sleep in town or in the neighbouring villages !!! Owner refused to speak to Hotels.com since apparently he has only signed a contract with Expedia (but didn’t acknowledge it was the same company!) and refused to speak English... Hotels.com was not able to sort it out not find anywhere else and we had to drive back home 3hrs in the other direction...

"Booked for a friend and the stay was unsatisfactory due to lack of service from hotel, for late check-in and also due to poor experience over the theft of a friend's rolex watch at the property, which was denied initially by the hotel, but discovered the 2nd day on reference to Police and request for CCTV footage. Drive-way not suitable for heavy motorbikes and late check-in is a problem with no telephone contact details."

"As soon as the gate was opened we knew we had arrived at a special Chambre d'hote. The property was well maintained, welcoming hosts and very comfortable and ekegant rooms. We had a delightful evening meal with the hosts and another couple. We are on a cycle holiday and were thrilled to have our laundry done for us overnight. In the morning our bikes had even been turned to the direction we were going to travel."
