Welcome to Westward, a private dual-home retreat set on 5 acres of open desert landscape.
Renovated from an original cabin ground up, the property was thoughtfully designed as a place to slow down, gather, and reconnect with the natural world.
Westward offers a rare balance of connection and privacy, allowing you to move easily between shared moments and quiet retreat.
During your stay, the land becomes yours to experience - wide open, quiet, and entirely your own.
The Space:
Across both homes, the property features 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests.
Each home is fully self-contained with its own kitchen, living space, and bathroom, making it ideal for couples traveling together, small groups, or anyone who values having space to spread out.
Large windows and sliding glass doors frame the surrounding landscape, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Materials like mahogany wood, stone plaster walls, microcement floors, and handmade Moroccan tile details bring warmth and texture throughout, while the interiors are curated with a clean, modern aesthetic and a subtle rustic Western influence.
The experience unfolds slowly here; morning coffee on the front porch as the sun rises, afternoons spent sunning by the pool, and evenings gathered around the fire as the desert quiet settles in.
Rooted in intentional living, the home brings together modern design, warmth, and a connection to the land, creating a space that feels elevated yet inviting - distinct in its presence, yet effortless to inhabit.
🏠 Front House
The front house features a one-bedroom layout with a King bed, along with a full kitchen, dining area, and comfortable living space.
The space carries a warmer, more grounded feel, with mahogany-clad walls and a slightly moodier, more intimate atmosphere. The bedroom is fully enclosed and centered around a large picture window, where you can watch the light shift across the desert without leaving bed.
The bathroom includes a skylight above the shower, bringing in soft natural light from above.
🏡 Back House
The back house is designed as an open studio-style space with a King bed, full kitchen, living area, and private bathroom.
In contrast, the space feels more open and expansive, with a layout that allows each area to flow naturally into the next. The enclosed bathroom is a standout feature, with a large soaking tub set against a floor to ceiling picture window and a spacious walk-in shower, creating an immersive spa-like experience connected to the landscape.
It functions as a fully independent home, offering the same level of comfort and privacy as the front house.
🌵 Outdoor Living
Step outside and the property opens into a series of outdoor spaces designed to be experienced throughout the day.
Surrounded by open desert and set across a largely private stretch of land, the space feels expansive and removed from the outside world. The landscaping was designed to mirror the natural surroundings, incorporating native plantings and lava rock sourced directly from the land.
Guests have access to:
- Pool and hot tub set against open desert views
- Custom sunken firepit and outdoor lounge areas for evenings under the stars
- Outdoor kitchen and BBQ
- Dining and gathering spaces
- Dedicated yoga and meditation deck
- Hammocks, loungers, and a daybed for slow afternoons
From sunrise on the front porch to sunset from the hot tub and nights spent around the fire beneath open skies, the outdoor experience is central to the stay.
