Staff were very warm, checkin and out were efficient. Facilities more than adequate - pool, gym, restaurant, bar, ktv, beach chairs, guarded parking etc. Room was large, clean and comfy as well. Just 1 quirk... The toilet door badly needs fixing, it can't close tightly and it's extremely hard to slide ooen/close.

Fabulous! I had a pool access room and it was great to avoid the crowd at the main pool. I did go to the beach twice which was nice, but I preferred the quiet. Staff was helpful and did a great job. The area around the hotel is great - tons of places to eat, get massages, etc. I plan on returning the same time next year!

Amazing stay at an amazing resort! The staff was friendly, the beach was empty, and the room was very nice. Highly recommend!

Chongfah hotel is a delightful, small (30’ish rooms) oceanfront hotel, with easy side access to the beach. All the hotel staff were friendly, helpful & gave that lovely Thai warmth that makes you feel at home. Our room was spacious & beautifully clean, which was no easy task with all the sand. Serviced twice daily. The location was great - come out of the hotel & turn right, it’s a short walk to the busy, touristy town. Turn left out of the hotel and at there are a smaller selection of more local restaurants, beach bars & places for a massage. We particularly enjoyed Bobby’s beach bar, Chicken House restaurant and The One Time Thai Massage (adjacent to Bobby’s). At low tide, you can walk for 2.5miles along the beach, wading across a couple of estuaries, past the big, chain hotels, to the ‘lighthouse’. For a small fee (20 baht) there is a raft service to cross the first (& deepest) estuary, at high tide. It is also possible to walk along the more beautiful, quieter beach in the other direction at low tide. After a storm earlier in the year, it is not quite so straightforward but worth it. There is a sea defence / retaining wall in front of the hotel so to access, turn left out of the hotel onto the road & walk to the end, passed Bobby’s beach bar & The One More Thai massage. Would definitely recommend Chongfah hotel & would happily stay again.

Highly recommend this resort. Lovely staff, super accommodating. Food was yummy and the resort in general was clean and well maintained. Some of the restaurants were on the more expensive side but that was expected. There’s a free shuttle if you’re also interested in visiting the local markets.
