Great place to stay. Good coffee and friendly staff. Only wish that the staff can speak English so we don’t have to use phones translation app

Staff was friendly but the room looked different than advertised and did not seem clean. Bathroom had black sludge and what looked like blood and the walls had poor patchwork and were dirty and peeling. Hallway smelled faintly of cigarettes and urine. Shower had low pressure and would randomly get really hot or really cold. Amenity bar and laundry facilities were a plus. All in all, our least favorite hotel we stayed at in Japan and we wouldn’t recommend it with so many other options.

Free shuttle is a nice addition. Also the staff were very helpful

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Monterey Hanzomon! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were so kind and welcoming throughout our stay. The location was amazing—literally right by Hanzomon Station, which made getting around Tokyo so convenient, while the area itself was quiet and peaceful after a busy day exploring the city. We also loved being close to the Imperial Palace and having a more relaxed neighbourhood to come back to. Everything was well taken care of, and it honestly felt like the perfect home base for our Tokyo trip. We’d absolutely stay here again! 🇯🇵✨

Clean room in a well kept hotel, with excellent staff at a convenient location. Near to a 24 hour grocery, convenience and drug stores and the subway. Close to police and EMS and really safe to walk at night but also meant some sirens. It didn't bother my family as we spent most of our days walking and exploring and were sleeping soundly by the end of the day. Air conditioning, and an ensuite laundry were key due to the hot weather. This hotel checked all the boxes for a summer stay and will always be on the top of my list for future visits.
