Breakfast was good, air conditioning worked, elevator, walking distance to the Vatican.

Hi. Can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. It’s a perfectly positioned property so you are within walking distance of most attractions. It a boutique hotel so it’s small but everything is spaced out nicely and it has everything you could need for an extended stay. Khaled the main concierge gentleman was exceptional. He helped us with everything we needed and even went above and beyond to call our tour company when our flight was 10 hours delayed. FYI avoid United airlines at all costs. It’s the third time going to Europe that we have experienced major delays!! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome. We will be back for our next trip to Rome. Thanks again!!

The hotel was tired and in need of renovation. Furniture was outdated and in many cases had damage such as scratches, gouges and stains. Most concerning was the fact that a large section of the carpeting between one of the queen beds and the in-room HVAC unit was soaking wet due to a probable condensation leak. The bathroom tub had a broken stopper mechanism, so the hotel had simply provided a rubber drain stopper instead. Not what I would expect from a hotel so highly rated on Expedia. The lobby was very small for a hotel located in Manhattan, and filled with outdated and crowded (due to furniture arrangement) seating areas. The staff was friendly and helpful to be sure. But management had not led them to advise us of the "free" beverage allowances our rate provided for. I use the " " because the "free" items were specifically listed as being due to the $45 "resort/amenity fee" that we paid. I blame Expedia for being incorrect/deceptive in the fee being charged, as the rate that I pre-paid to them was advertised as "all taxes and fees included." Obviously, not all fees were included. I would not recommend this hotel to someone looking for any type of luxury accomodation in the Manhattan area, especially given the prices being charged. If you want a beaten up Hampton Inn with rates on steroids, then you would be in luck.

Wallace at front desk was excellent as well as the rest of the Riu team. Housekeeping was superb!
