The hotel itself was beautiful. Our room was comfortable but the location was unacceptable. We had a first floor room that opened to a courtyard where bikes were stored. Our checkout experience was also unacceptable. Despite paying ahead of time they attempted to charge us again for the room and at a different rate.

A very welcoming hotel in an ideal spot in west Amsterdam. Boasts some of the most quiet and comfortable rooms I have ever stayed in. Great food, excellent showers and a decent sauna and steam room. A slightly odd thing when I asked for a drink in the bar one evening and was told “you can only order outside”, this seemed very odd when I regarded the dozens of empty seats and tables inside, which apparently I could not use.

Excellent staff. I suggest cleaning rooms more frecuent even if the guest doesn't request it. I stayed 6 nights and they only cleaned the room once. I discovered the application to ask for service too late.

Would have preferred a walk in shower

Whatever I say about this property wouldn't suffice. I looked hard for a negative and couldn't find one thing lacking. We were left comparing this property to a 5 star property in Paris, and this property was much beyond even that! Comfortable, convenient, fantastic staff, drop dead gorgeous property, excellent amenities. Yes, it's heavy on the tab, but you feel like it worth every $ you spend. We stayed here at the end of our trip and it was a nice way to treat ourselves before the long flight home. A special mention to the comfiest beds which just envelopes you leaving you refreshed for the next day. My family thoroughly enjoyed the amenities which includes a steam room and a sauna. Didn't have time to use their spa treatments, but we will repeat if we are ever in this part of the town.
