Absolutely loved this stay. Just a 10-minute walk to the Bund, with charming old houses along the way. The room was spotless, the bed super comfortable, and I slept like a baby. Great water pressure in the shower. The laundry room on the 4th floor was a huge plus—wash and dry in one go. Nice gym for a quick morning workout, and the rooftop terrace has an amazing view of Lujiazui at night. Front desk staff were friendly, efficient, and even recommended some great local Shanghainese restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

The room is spacious and clean. Staff are generally helpful in showing direction, house keeping. The building is beautiful made , it has China themed design. Will recommend here if you want something different from the modern hotels. It is close to airport and disney, which they do provide transport on schedule.

Rooms were very clean and quiet. Staffs were very helpful in general, and vehicle used for transfer to Disney land was classy. Hot spring was awesome and relaxing. Restaurant food were great quality. Overall highly recommended.

Not many options for breakfast and had to take a shuttle to the buffet

We absolutely loved at stay at Chateau Star, it was more then what we expected. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Staff were friendly and helped as much as they could given language barrier, really only had 1 staff member who spoke English which was great as we weren't proficient with the translation apps immediately. Rooms were clean and we were super comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes, along with sone corner stores a short walk away. We will definitely be staying there again.

Excellent in every way! No hesitation in recommending this hotel

The design of the hotel is aesthetically pleasing. The room is functional. We got a loft twin room. If you like taking steps, it is a nice choice to pick. Breakfast is good. Staff are great. Special shout out to Luna (san bai 三白). While we were touring the premises and chance upon the bar, she came forward to greet us and chat with us. Knowing we just check-in, she asked and offered to show us around. She was actually busy tending to the bar, upkeeping the bar cleaniness when there is no guest. Thus, we were so glad with her initiation and delightful accepted her offer. She brought us to various part of the hotel and shared with us the services and products offered there. Our dinner choice for the evening at 似水（Si Shui）was actually attributed to her recommedation. Here, we like to also express our compliments to the tea lady and the server (with a little hunch back) for doing their job with exceptional thoughtfulness and knowledge. We felt really taken care of us at the dinner by them. improvements feedback. Power sockets are impractical. Some adaptor cannot fit in that narrow space. Bath towels are not absorbent. I would recommend some improvements at Check-in too. Never forget to note what guests has made in their requests and managed them at this stage. An overlook on this undermines the experience. We also spend some time at your swimming pool. The lady lifeguard on duty is attentive and alert. Oh... i don't patronise bar. We did that night. Is not hard to guess why.
