Amenities not enough

Nestled along the tranquil banks of the Kamo River, this riverside hotel in Kyoto offers a serene escape from the bustling city. We were greeted with stunning views of the flowing river and the surrounding lush greenery, creating a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The hotel features morden Japanese architecture, blending elegance with comfort. We have enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace, basking in the gentle morning sunlight while listening to the soothing sounds of nature. With easy access to nearby temples and cultural attractions, this hotel is an ideal base for exploring the rich history and beauty of Kyoto. We will surely come again.

Everything is great with the hotel - except - (1) long walk uphill to get back to hotel after a day out, and - (2) if you are driving, the hotel’s small carpark is at the bottom of the hill, which means you’ll have to walk up that moderately steep slope to get back to hotel….which can be a good daily exercise….

Amenities not enough
