“The environment is very basic, living up to the 'Budget' in its name. It takes nearly an hour to get into the city, but public transport is convenient and the wait times are short. For this price, I can't complain—at least you have your own bathroom. Still, the whole place really reminds me of my old university dorm days. Btw, there is a Woolworths supermarket nearby.”

“I like the hotel because of its proximity to Central station. Being at the CBD, the transport and tourist facilities are within reach. The vibrancy of the place and good weather make my visit very enjoyable. However there is no provision of shower cap and slippers dampen the comfort level of residency. On the whole the receptionist are friendly and helpful.”

The original concierge /reception gentleman was extra kind and thoughtful enough to allow me an early check in without charge until his female manager stopped him and demanded I pay an early check in fee of AUD100 to which I refused. My check in date was October 7 ( Monday) which is a public holiday, if Ibis would like to check their staff roster log they will be able to find out which staff go out of their way to make guest want to come back and stay……
