“It is a beautiful setting. The hotel is relatively small but the villas are nicely placed and the pool and bar areas are very nice. The sea is very pleasant with a fine rocky almost sandy beach easily accessible. Sun loungers on the beach are not available but there are enough sun loungers in the surrounding spaces with a sea view so that is OK. There were no water sports eg kayaking available although the hotel next door has a couple of paddleboards you can hire. The sea swimming area is……

“This was our second stay at the Olivar Suites and once again we opted for a Majestic Suite. The room is a generous size for 2 people but it is the private garden, terrace and pool that is the standout. The Beach area is well appointed with comfortable sunbeds and we never had a problem locating free sunbeds at a time when we wanted them. Breakfast is a combination of Buffet and Table service and is excellent. The drinks and food service on the beach is also excellent with a 'service bell'……

“Overall this is a very nice hotel. Nice location, beautiful views, extremely clean, and very well maintained. Two things I thought couldn’t be better! First, the room design, the bathroom was separated from the sleeping area by a glass door! Second, I personally thought the sun beds were arranged to close with one another, this made private conversations and privacy overall a bit challenging! If you ask me, if I would return there, my answer is absolutely. It’s still a very nice hotel”

Ideally need a car to get to and from Lakka as hill is quite steep but that’s a small price to pay to stay in what feels like a rural beauty. Feels very Provençal / Tuscan. The staff were EXCELLENT. “I was quite disappointed with my room as well as the service of the staff upon my arrival to Valmar Corfu. When I first entered my hotel room, I did not like the smell...it was mildewed-like and not something I could tolerate. I addressed my concern with the front desk and the lady assured me that someone would come up to inspect it but no one ended up coming.
