"The hotel was good, clean, well maintained and the staff were very helpful. Ideally located with the tram stops of Letzigrund and Albisriederplatz only a short walk away with the Migros convenience store also handily nearby. We opted for the breakfast buffet which was excellent and the hotel also has a restaurant which after we got over the shock of the prices in Zurich, became our go to for dinner with a good menu and attentive staff who looked after us very well. We did have a problem with the toilet in our room which kept running after it had been flushed but after reporting it to reception it was promptly fixed and wasn't really a huge problem. Upon check-in, the front desk deducted a 50 CHF security fee per night which I was refunded when checking out and it might be worthwhile to bear that in mind if you are travelling on a budget. Overall the Crowne Plaza is an excellent hotel, in a quiet area of Zurich and I would have no hesitation in staying there again."

"The room was clean and sufficient in size. It was basically a very small apartment. We found that there is no one at the desk to answer questions as the person that was there "didn't work there" so we would have to contact the owner on WhatsApp. We just dealt with the issue (more of my husband's lack of digital experience) and were fine. However, we got there at 3:05pm and there was no one to give any explanation of how anything in the place worked, which was very frustrating for us older folks that haven't dealt with an all digital space before. They were very quick to drop off toilet paper when we asked the girl at the desk, and the gentleman that came up was nice enough to show me how to run the TV, on the 4th day we were there. This would have been a 5 if we had had someone to give some instruction or at least a call to make sure we got checked in okay or needed help. It's very odd to only have someone available until 3pm when there are people checking in after that."

FIVE Zurich - Luxury City Resort

"This hotel is located about 10 minutes away from Old Town Zurich. We took an uber to get here from Zurich HB. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite facing the pool. The pool was having a huge promoted white party, so the bass and DJ were vibrating the room. However, the music was done at 8pm and we didn't hear anything else after that. The king bed was very comfortable. My son used the couch pull out, which we had to call down 2 times for them to bring up bedding because there was no bedding for it and we had to set it all up. The pool area was nice and we used it twice. My son and I tried the buffet breakfast and was highly disappointed for what I paid (80 swiss franks = $100 usd) for cold, mediocre food. I couldn't believe the price, but I had to feed my 9 year old. After that, we just uber eats or did not eat at the hotel because I was not paying that price daily. You definitely paid for what you pay for here."
