“This is a wonderful place to stay while in Volterra, very ** sweet place. The breakfast was by far the best one so far for us from Rome, Florence to Volterra! They also have a very nice cafe/bar up on the roof. 5* for sure!”

“While the property itself is beautiful, our overall experience was extremely disappointing and fell far below the standard we expected. From the moment we arrived, we encountered multiple issues that were handled poorly by management and staff. Our initial room had no functioning air conditioning, making it uncomfortable and unusable. We were initially told the hotel was fully booked, yet we were eventually moved to another room after considerable discussion. This was particularly frustrating……

“We stayed in Italy for 10 days and visited 5 different locations and this was clearly the best. We stayed here for 3 nights, and it did not disappoint. We wished we had stayed longer. The facilities, grounds, and guest rooms are large and pristine. Everything is very clean. The food was exceptional including the breakfast and poolside bar which are easily forgotten with the amazing restaurants they have on site. “Front desk was very nice! Complementary water and flip flops were given upon arrival. Overall the grounds were well maintained but the pool was dirty ( no cover on pool/ or pool boy to clean out every couple hours). Pool is right next to a main road covered up by some bushes but you can hear the cars zipping by. Rooms were nice. Breakfast had a great variety of food. Onsite dinner was okay nothing special.”
