Great value for money if you’re looking for a place to rest, get a shower, and have delicious breakfast in the morning. The location is not too far from coffee places, but I haven’t walked around to discover the area. I would definitely stay there again. Btw, I couldn’t pay by visa and I paid online through Expedia.

VERY friendly staff. I stayed 3 weeks had no complaints except for occasional very minor glitches … normal for that duration. Those were addressed instantly. Room soon felt like a comfortable and familiar “nest” in Addis. Two restaurants were better than most external restaurants. Recommend.

Very loud nightclub on the roof, not the best for sleeping. Wish there was a quiet comfortable space to just have a beer with out the music. Other then that it was good. The gym renovations has taken a lot longer then expected. Location is very good

The staff were warm and welcoming right from the entrance. They assisted my mum and me with her luggage, and check-in was quick despite a temporary power outage, which was beyond their control. The room was a comfortable size for two, and overall, we had no issues.

Great hotel with friendly staff

I had a wonderful stay at Monarch Hotel. The room was comfortable and the staff very pleasant and helpful. This made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel has several restaurants. I liked the 360 restaurant that has a great view and is always lively in the evenings. I enjoyed the diner and drinks there on several occasions.

The rooftop area was excellent for entertainment. Nice ambiance up on the rooftop with live music and djs occasionally. The cleaning staff didn't clean my room 2 of the 4 days. The breakfast which was included was served cold without burners keeping the food warm. Check out process took me about an hour. That's unacceptable.

Everything works for me except that the Elevators are two small boxes for the entire building. I stand 12 minutes to get into one. Just pray there is no fire or emergency that you need to get out of that building fast. Otherwise, I like the service, cleanliness, and everything else.

I booked this hotel through Expedia for one night. I checked in around 10 p.m., and when I was checking out, the front desk told me I had to pay for some snacks and other items that I hadn’t used or touched. The manager came over, and I explained that I hadn’t taken anything, but she still insisted that I had to pay. It wasn’t really about the money. What upset me was being treated like I was lying. I found that very disrespectful and frustrating, especially when I knew I hadn’t used any of those items.
