"Absolutely enchanting!! This is run by a couple with their kids and nephew - the took ruins and transformed it into a beautiful retreat for tourists. The suite was gorgeous and spacious. Loved the contrast of the dark wood and the stone/bricks. We had views of the mountains and it was so peaceful. Breakfast was included with delicious coffee and variety of baked goods, jambon, and fruit. The family is well traveled and it was lovely sharing stories of our travels. The owner recommended an ice cream shop in the next town with homemade ice cream - which we did and it was incredible (try the hazelnut and blueberry)! What a wonderful stay!"

"Good location for exploring the area and access to the rail link to Leon. Facilities are those appropriate to its star rating. My stay was on a Monday, the hotel rest day - check-in staff very helpful, but thereafter you are on your own. In contrast for normal full service days there is a welcoming bar/cafeteria and restaurant facilities."

"Wonderful location, fabulous place to stay Four large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge and a kitchen - a family of four or larger could easily live here. Riano is wonderfully picturesque - encircled by mountains, and a large lake - it is a magical place"
