Our stay in Perdika

We had a great week staying at Dimitris’ house. The location is beautiful with stunning views. It is quite remote and you definitely need a car. Dimitris was a very helpful host and he arranged a lovely meal out for us in Perdika and had a delicious meal prepared by Sophia on our arrival. He also gave us lots of great tips about where to visit and eat out. The pool area of the house is fantastic.

Peaceful Hillside in Aegina

The home is beautiful and very spacious, however with all the art work within easy reach, it’s not a place for small children. It would be helpful to know when to adjust the window shades during day to maximize the house air flow. The installation of ceiling fans could improve air circulation thus keeping the large family room area cooler. The owner was super helpful with local restaurant recommendations and sites while dealing with his own family health issue. The saltwater pool was wonderful and very well kept. The sunsets from the family room terrace were exceptional and enjoyed every evening. In addition the owners house keeper did prepare for us a wonderful casserole of stuffed tomatoes for our late day arrival. And when we could not locate any baklava nearby she made some for us, an excellent cook! Would highly recommend this home for those who want to enjoy a place of beauty, rest and leisurely evenings of wine, cheese and olives with the gorgeous views.

Undoubtetly The best view over Saronic Gulf in Aegina

A very nice villa, well decorated and equiped. Dimitris, the owner was very helpful before and during our stay. He organized transfers to and from Athens, found the best offer for car rental, told us where to go for nice beaches, restaurants and places to visit, boat trip. The villa private pool has stunning views over the islands, Moni, Agistri, Methana up to Peloponese. Service was just great with fruits, drinks and special attentions not normally provided for a 2 weeks stay. A great place to stay with nature all around, olive and fruit trees, vineyard, flowers, aromatic plants... only a few minutes drive to Perdika restaurants and Supermarket. We can only recommend.

A little piece of heaven with an awesome view

Perched on the side of hill with a panoramic view that takes n the coast of the Greek mainland and a scattering of islands this place is a little piece of heaven. A warm welcome from Dimitirs and a lovely meal prepared by Sophia started our weeks stay off in style. The villas is spacious and filled with fascinating pieces of art and artifacts. Even during the heatwave that was our stay we managed to stay cool with a combination of aircon units and the ingenious blinds and shutters in every room of the villa. Although the road up to the villa is a little bit of a challange it is well worth it. The isolation is glorious with only the sounds of insects and the odd motorbike on the road below to spoil the peace and quiet. The pool was fabluous and kept clean for us during our stay although a few extra sunshades would have been very welcome especially as the site is so exposed. We loved this place and intend to return on our next family visit to Aegina.

Beautiful villa with amazing views

The villa is beautifully designed and the views are stunning. Everything we needed was there, and it was immaculately clean. Dimitris and his family welcomed us on the first day, and he was always available by phone if we had a question. Sophia the housekeeper did a fantastic job and always brought a gift of a cake or bread fresh from the oven, eggs or veg from her garden. One evening she cooked a delicious fish dinner for us which Dimitris has ordered via a local fisherman, which was fun. The warmth of the welcome and the care taken of us was outstanding and we highly recommend the villa to anyone who enjoys 5 star hotels but with the privacy and seclusion of a private home. The pool was great, too, we never once needed to skim it, as the filtration system is excellent. Because the villa is airconditioned, we slept fantastically well (usually in hot countries we have to leave windows open and are woken by dogs etc). I highly recommend this villa for the comfort, views, cleanliness and last but certainly not least, the outstanding generosity and charm of the hosts.

Everything is real!!!

Having a look at the photos and reading the reviews for various villas, we decided to stay in this particular one for five nights, so as to visit Aegina island as well. Leaving behind us the cold and rainy Brussels and after finding "cheap" tickets, we finally arrived at the island. All flowering trees. Colors and scents. Unbelievable!!! I do not have anything different to say from what I read in the Reviews. Everything is real!!! We had a great time, with beautiful sun and temperatures ranging from 20ο - 22ο C. We also had sun tan like summer

Very good value, incredible view!!!

Two couples from Canada celebrate their 30-year wedding anniversary. Very good value, incredible view!!! On top, a mountain overlooking the sea. We went on an 1-day cruise and had a swim in caves. We returned home and realized that they could view those caves from the balcony of the villa! The Villa is filled with lovely artwork and has 4 bedrooms. The pool is exceptionally well maintained. The housekeeper, Sophia, cooked moussaka and baklava that were exceptional and she was coming often. There was a neighbor who brought us the famous Aegina grown pistachio nuts. Early in the mornings we were hearing the sounds of goats being shepparded through the trails at the edges of the villa’s boundaries. The experience of being in a small village, while enjoying the luxury of the Villa. Navigating within the airport was easy; greeted by a porter who walked us through baggage reclaim area, to the money exchange counter and took us to our car rental desk. Dimitris met us at the ferry and guided us to the Villa and offered us a gift basket that contained locally produced wines, jams, honey and fruits. Americans demand by everyone to speak English, while the Greeks accommodate us. Prices in the shops and for tours were extremely reasonable. We knew that a Greek tourist visiting Montreal would have never got the warm welcome and hospitality we received on this wonderful island by these wonderful owners. La maison Ă©tait exactement comme magnifique comme elle apparaĂźt dans les photos. Comme nous sommes arrivĂ©s, nous avons Ă©tĂ© agrĂ©ablement surpris du panier de bienvenue gratuit avec tous les produits grecs directement Ă  partir du paysage de la villa. La vue Ă©tait absolument spectaculaire et nous Ă©tions si heureux que les gens desquels nous avons louĂ© cette villa executent une telle opĂ©ration professionnelle. Je recommande l’ endroit idĂ©al pour les gens qui aiment la beautĂ© et le calme en gĂ©nĂ©ral. Andrea et Laura nous Ă©tions un petit groupe de 6 avec deux enfants en visite avant la haute saison. * Nous avions de la famille avec nous qui n’ a jamais visitĂ© la GrĂ©ce et en restant Ă  Egine dans une propriĂ©tĂ© dans ce magnifique blanc qui coule la conception vient d’ ajouter Ă  la magie pour leur visite. En plus d’ ĂȘtre une Ă©tonnante maison, la decoration intĂ©rieure Ă©tait tellement Ă©lĂ©ctrique et variĂ©e, on l’ a trouvĂ©e nous-mĂȘme en regardant autour et dĂ©couvrir l’ art dans chaque petit coin. * Le gardien et sa femme Ă©taient si sympathiques et tout le monde (en particulier nos jeunes enfants) se sent comme de la famille. Heureusement on n’ a jamais eu aucun problĂšme mais le confort de savoir qu’ ils Ă©taient proches est vraiment ajoutĂ© Ă  la nature dĂ©tendue du cadre. La piscine est en effet profonde et si longue que certains de la famille ont pu faire quelques tours courts dans la mantinĂ©e. * L’eau de la piscine Ă©tait semblable Ă  l’eau de mer et mes enfants courageux plongeaient chaque jour avec excitation. La zone peu profonde est grande pour prendre le soleil et pour ceux avec de petits enfants. * Il y a tellement d’ endroits tout au long de differents niveaux de la propriĂ©tĂ© qu’un grand groupe de personnes pourrait se propager avec beaucoup d’ espace supplĂ©mentaire. Ma femme et moi avons passĂ© la plupart des soirĂ©es en buvant des vins du propriĂ©taire assis sur la grande chaise longue en plein air avec vue sur la mer Saronique. Incroyable! Enfin, pour se rendre et de la propriĂ©tĂ© en ville, Ă  la plage et aux restaurants n’a jamais Ă©tĂ© plus de 10 Ă  15 minutes en voiture. Egine est un endroit surprenant non seulement pour faire la fĂȘte mais aussi pour le familles. On pourrait (et on voudrait) y revenir Ă

Excellent Fantastic Holidays

Dear Dimitris and Teta, Just a message to say what a wonderful host and hostess you were to us. We had a fantastic holiday in your home with a most wonderful Greek welcome. You were most generous and I can honestly say that in all the years we have been holidaying in Greece your holiday accommodation has been something special. It was wonderful to meet you both and your little daughter on our departure. Also, Teta was so attentive regarding any issues that we may have had, calling us most day. I know she is a busy lady with her job, but even so she still found time to contact us. Last of all I would like to pass on our regards to Sophia who made us feel at home and makes a wicked Moussaka and Baklava. I had laughs with her trying to speak Greek and she to understand English. Don’t forget, any time that you happen to be in England, we would be happy to hear from you.

Wonderful experience

I had a weeks sailing from Piraeus to Spetse and return which was wonderful but tiring and wanted a relaxing second week. Well would you believe it I found a Greek Shangri- La at Dimitris villa. Wonderful views from our master bedroom and all the facilities that a tired traveller would want. We received a wonderful Greek reception from Dimitris & Teta his wife. Greek lunch and evening meal were most welcome. Throughout our stay we received calls from Teta to see if all was well. A most wonderful warm experience .

Excepional vacation

We left the snowy Boston and we arrived at a dreamy place full of colors and smells. Colors and smells from flowering trees. The pool was stunning with opposite swimming and hydro massage and the water was cold. The weather was amazing. The house better than the photos. The beds were great, we relaxed. Everything was clean. Great service. We broiled at the barbecue: fantastic design and one day Sophia cooked meat in the stone oven by the pool. There are no words. Although it was relatively early (April) we had a great time, listening to the birds’ chirp and watching the wild partridges walking among the trees. Awesome! April 2015

Excepional vacation

We are two families with four children from Norway. It's been three days since we left and still we cannot believe how nice it was. The house is amazing with a unique architecture. The sunset every day was different with amazing colors. The water in the swimming pool is without chlorine, as in the sea, and you enjoy your own stereo music through the trees. You find it difficult to believe and you are looking for speakers. Fruits. Oh !!! We had never before the experience to cut fruit from the trees. Oranges, lemons and apricots when we were there but also peaches, pears, plums, grapes and figs that will come to maturity later. The cleanliness is stunning, pool towels, all deck chairs are made of teak and an awesome sofa bed with canopy for the sun, on wheels from 32 to 35°C degrees, almost summer. We did not use to leave the house often, the dishes prepared by Sofia were great. Within 5 minutes we reached the isolated sandy beach Sarpa, with crystal waters, ideal for children and games. Moni & Agistri islands are wonderful nearby destinations. I could continue writing forever. We will definitely return ... We unconditionally recommend it. Christian W. 30/04/2015 ---- 10/05/2015

Real pleasure

The house is built in a wonderful place where from the guest has a magnificent view to the Aegean Sea, the nearby islands and the picturesque village of Perdika. The land, where the house is built, is very large and full of fruit trees available to the guests. The children were really excited with eating fruits directly from the trees. The villa itself is decorated with an artistic feeling and living there is a real pleasure. A fully equipped kitchen is included, yet you can rely on Mrs Sofia, the lady from the nearby village of Sfentouri who does the cleaning, to cook for you really tasteful homemade food from local cuisine. It is really relaxing, especially in the afternoon during the sunset, to sit by the pool and enjoy the view, while drinking a glass of wine produced and offered by the owner of the house. The island offers a variety of places to visit such as archeological sites, beautiful beaches, restaurants etc. Our family, with friends, 8 people in total, stayed there for 2 weeks during last September. We were absolutely satisfied and hope we will be able to be there again very soon.

Hill top villa in Paradise

This property sits perched on top of a hill overlooking the Aegean and surrounding Islands below. The views are spectacular and breathtaking and days pass watching the light change, feathery clouds move across the enormous sky, and ferries and fishing boats travelling across the sea below. The house sits in the middle of fruit orchards, olive groves and vineyards, which surround the generous terrace and swimming pool. The house is wonderfully comfortable and the modernist interiors are filled with beautiful artefacts, ancient and modern, each room enjoying large windows which frame the views below. The host and hostess, Teta and Dimitris, were there with their lovely daughter, after whom the house takes its name, to greet us. A large hamper awaited our arrival with olive oil, jams, wine, freshly baked bread, copious amounts of fruit, gathered and made by them from their own land. The following day the lovely Sophia came to meet us, and she looked after us well, coming frequently to clean and change the linen and occasionally to cook wonderful traditional meals for us too. When we could tear ourselves away from the house we drove down the hill to Perdika, a sleepy fishing village with a plethora of tavernas along the seafront. This house is truly a taste of paradise and since our return, not a day has passed without longingly and wistfully thinking of this wonderful Villa Vasiliki on top of the hill waiting for us to return next year!

A hill-top paradise.

Set high on a hill, above the beautiful fishing of Perdika, sits Villa Vassiliki. From the moment you see the house on your way up the hill you know it is special but only when you arrive do you realise just how special. It is a modern gem of of a house with views to take your breath away. Once you have marvelled at the gorgeous swimming pool you step inside this oasis. A generous kitchen/dinner/ living space has everything you could possible need and all four of the spacious bedrooms have en suite facilities. As if this wasn't enough the house is surrounded by land in which you will find peach trees, fig trees, olive groves and a small vineyard. The owners, Demitris and Tata are very generous hosts who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and supplied us with an array of local and homemade products including their own wine, olive oil, Grappa and honey. All totally sublime. It is a house that allows you to totally relax and you can spend many a happy hour just sitting round the pool looking at the stunning scenery. Perdika itself has many excellent restaurants, a good super market and bakery and Aegina town is also well worth visiting for a evening or two. As if this wasn't enough there is also Sophia who comes in every two days or so to clean and change linen and to cook your scrumptious local dishes if you feel like it. We can not recommend it highly enough and hope one day to return.
