Nice place with great breakfast

A very nice place a little outside the ”Centre”. The apartment/place was designed with great taste. In spite of being a small place with few guests they served an excellent breakfast with a great variation. Much above expectations, really 1st class. On recommendation we had dinner at pizzeria (normally not our choice) also very much on the countryside. A real good place with gourmet pizzas.

Nature and luxury

Luxury accomodations right next to the river and bike path through the region - the host was wonderful and the decor was beautiful. The large grounds were full of areas to relax - veranda with wine grape vines, fruit trees, tasteful landscaping in an area tucked into farmland without the feeling of being crammed into the city. The bedding was lux and comfy and the breakfast had fresh cakes, pastries, muesli, boiled eggs on tiny nests, cheeses and gourmet cured meats - even walnuts to crack. Just amazing!

B&B Ca' Viro was a truly great find. We arrived by bus (from Sondrio train station) which dropped us right outside the front door - all for the measly sum of €2 each. Our room was wonderful and better than expected. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was excellent. The grounds are a sight to see and our room was only 50 metres from a path along the river which provided some great walks. Breakfast the nect morning was amazing!! So much choice and all was wonderful. When it was time to leave, we noted that a bus was not due for quite some time, so we are asked Roberto, the manager, to call us a taxi to take us and our cases to Sondrio station. He said, "No need for a taxi - my wife is going shopping and she will drop you at the station". Not only did she drop us at the station, but it turns out she did so on her birthday!!. We cannot recommend this fabulous gem enough: the hotel and its facilities were first class and Roberto and his wife were friendly, attentive hosts who went way beyond what was expected. Muy buena experiencia. Hotel con fácil acceso en coche, cuenta con estacionamiento y desayuno incluido. Los anfitriones fueron muy amables y siempre pendientes de que todo estuviera bien. Está a solo 30 minutos de Tirano, lo que lo hace ideal para tomar el Bernina Express. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

Vorrei dare 5 stelle ma la nota negativa devo darla alla colazione: per carità abbondante e quella salata con prodotti freschi e locali, ma non posso dire altrettanto per dolci e marmellate. Siamo in Valtellina, prendi accordi con una pasticceria del posto e fatti portare biscotti, crostate, torte, marmellate e miele del posto, invece di usare prodotti imbustati. Peccato, unica nota negativa

ambiente piacevole colazione TOP unico inconveniente la "ripartizione" dei posti al checkin. pur avendo la prenotazione di 2 camere (ciascuna con 2 adulti e 2 bambini) ci siamo trovati costretti a rimediare suddividendoci in un appartamento con 5 posti letto e 1 camera doppia. credo che questa anomalia debba essere prontamente risolta e chiaramente definita all'atto della prenotazione.
