“We spent a week at Finca Santa Matilde in September with our young children and their grandparents. The reception from Juan Carlos was fantastic, he met us at the local supermarket to make sure we would find the house and access it properly. Around a 20 minute drive from Malaga city, you will need a car to get about (I wouldn’t fancy walking the hill to the local Aldi!!) but the distance means you get a location that is an absolute antidote to the stress and bustle of city living. “We stayed at Casa Siloam (10 nights September 2025).On arrival we found the property without difficulty but we were a bit disappointed with the property from the get go. There was a musty smell throughout which was improved by opening the doors to allow fresh air into the property and it wasn’t as clean as we would have expected (perhaps our standards are unreasonably high), and some cleaning of areas of the kitchen was necessary.
