"The location of the hotel is good, close to Malioboro Street (the main shopping area). The staff welcomed us with a cool and refreshing drink. However, the condition of our bathroom does not match the 5-star "luxury" rating. The vanity and the bathroom door are basically covered by some adhesive materials. It feels like a 2-star hotel! The buffet breakfast is decent, offering a variety of choices. Nevertheless, I did expect more since it's a 5-star hotel. Overall, the hotel did not live up to my 5-star expectations! "

"The shops and the shopping malls are very closed by . The staffs are very friendly . The only thing the hotel need to fix is changing the thin toilet paper to better one. "

"This so far has been the worst hotel during our long trip to Asia. The hotel is closed to a mosque and everyday we were woken up at 4:30 am during the praying call. It was not disclose to us and to anyone who is a light sleeper it was not so good. I didn’t have a good sleep for my tour the next day and end up with a huge migraine. The hotel does have a policy to charge you for extra towels. I’ve never been to a hotel that charges extra for towels!!!"

"There is constant noise pollution and rooms are not sound proof. The rooms are in need of a makeover and serious deep clean. Areas such as the bathroom shower had green buildup and toilet seats were beige in color from age. Two of the major issues that I encountered in my two week long stay at the property was poor wifi service and inconsistent hot water availability. These are major problems that the hotel management needs to address."

"I booked 3 rooms in this hotel for me and my sisters…we asked all 3 rooms to be on the same level and it’s no problem at all for the hotel…we had nice time and all the staff are very friendly and polite. We had a ‘bit’ of confusion at the end of our stay but Ken, the duty manager on the day had explained the confusion and he handled the minor incident very professionally. Thank you, Ken…you are an asset for Jambuluwuk Hotel Malioboro for your outstanding hospitality! All our rooms are clean and always have all the amenities. Nice location as it’s near Malioboro! Highly recomended for all of you who wants to visit Yogyakarta with your family."

"The property is good members of my group who used the bathroom said. Because the property was double booked, it had occupants in it when we arrived after a five our drive. The outside could use more landscaping. No one answered the phone number listed. Very kind caretaker. After some food at a close by Minangkabau, Just around the corner we found one older hotel with three rooms and across from it the Cube Hotel, awesome national breakfast and rooftop pool. We got the six rooms. Communications with Expedia is by chat, and took long to respond. Got a refund the next day using the Hotel WiFI and after a charge"
