“This stay at the Holiday Inn Express Amarillo did much to restore our faith in Holiday Inns. Always loyal a couple of decades ago, we have had multiple experiences where Holiday Inns were run down with not-so clean carpets damp with smelly cleaning solutions, moldy grouted bathrooms and noisy window AC units. This Holiday Inn was well maintained, fresh and light with a better than average included breakfast. We have hesitated to stay in Holiday Inns for the last 10 years or so, but this stay……

“Room was very clean. There were charging stations where you just lay the phone on the platform and enough plugs if you needed to charge something else. Desk folded out for more space. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion in dispensers. Pretty quiet except the neighbor with the loud tv, but the front desk helped with that. Breakfast was fine: cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels, eggs, sausage, juice, etc. Plenty of drink selections for coffee & tea. Front desk was friendly and effecient.”

“Everything was excellent. We only wish we could have stayed a few more days to enjoy the place. We were initially concerned about the nearby highway, but the interior is completely quiet and well insulated. We especially loved the two separate bedrooms, each with its own adjacent full bathroom, as well as the spacious kitchen and comfortable living room. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of traveling and made it very easy to continue our road trip each morning. Highly recommended!”

“Unhelpful staff, no one to be found to check in, room was damaged. Broken glass beer bottles all throughout the parking lot. If it had not just been myself and been super late- would not have stayed here.”

“Hotel was a little hard to find as it sits behind a Spark Hilton. There is a strip center and a Rudy’s barbecue on the frontage within walking distance from the hotel. Easy access to on and off the freeway good location from the big Texas steakhouse and the Cadillac Ranch.”
