  • Tucked away behind the main shopping area Glenmore cottage is ideally located for exploring central Lakeland.. 5 steps to entrance.

    Separate Toilet 2.. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels and broadband included. Cot and highchair.. Small front garden. Rear paved area. Private parking for 2 small cars. Visit England 4 Star. Please note that the property is not suitable for more than four adults.. Glenmore Cottage is a traditional stone built terraced Lakeland cottage built over 100 years ago, ideally situated close to the centre of Ambleside within a short level walk of all the varied facilities the town has to offer and yet retaining a peaceful location for a relaxing holiday.



    Numerous walks from the doorstep are available, whether it’s a short stroll to Rothay Park or Lake Windermere, or a more ambitious walk into the fells are all accessible without the need of a car.



    Glenmore Cottage offers superb, comfortable accommodation for up to four guests with many modern facilities in a traditional setting. There is private, off road, parking at the rear of the property for two cars, a small enclosed front garden and two excellent games rooms in the basement with table tennis, darts and junior snooker. www.glenmoreambleside.co.uk

Had the most amazing get away at the cottage. Ambleside itself is a great town has shops and pubs everything you need a walk away. Also only 45 minutes (if not closer) drive from a Scafell Pike. Couldn’t recommend enough will defo be coming back !

Great location close to town centre but in a quiet horse shoe. Cottage is lovely n warm, cosy, good amenities, clean and comfortable, just a little dated but really worked for us with bikes, wet kit and lots of space. It’s not as luxurious as some but that didn’t bother us.

Just had 3 nights in Glenmore Cottage (our second visit).

Just had 3 nights in Glenmore Cottage (our second visit). The cottage was extremely clean, well equipped and comfortable. It is in a quiet area, and the parking behind the cottage is very convenient. It is only a few minutes walk from shops and other amenities. The front garden is a little restful spot to sit out when the sun shines. Ambleside was extremely busy as were many other areas of the Lake District, as people start to come away after lock down, and it was difficult at times to achieve social distancing because of the narrow pavements, small shops and busy traffic.
