Hi there, this was one of the worst Hotels we have ever booked in Amman Jordan. We are from Australia, & New Zealand. We booked a room in January at Al Fanar for 22 nights including breakfast, through the website Hotels.com. Upon arrival at the hotel after 30 hours of travel we were rejected breakfast although we showed evidence on our booking that it included breakfast. I have raised this issue with a person named Lj, who works for Hotels over the phone, i still have this email. Unfortunately, this issue was not resolved and my brother and I spent 22 nights without breakfast at the hotel, as the reception refused to arrange it for us, they asked us for MORE money. In addition, my brother had his phone charger go missing after a room services had happened, and the person at the hotel reception asked us for 4x the price to get us a charger, when in the first place it was not our fault that it went missing. Lack of honesty, they also mentioned to me that it was better to book by paying cash at the reception, because i tried booking another room using the hotels wifi for another group of people, and their wifi didn't allow that option. We have spent a lot of money in this trip expecting for breakfast, to be included and not expecting our personal belongings to go missing. My brother had to go down the road hunting to find another charger. They only like short bookings - 1 or 2 nights maximum 5 nights. Anything more they will treat you unprofessionally.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I’m no stranger to staying in budget hotels abroad, but this one has been the absolute worst. The hotel is outdated and in horrible shape. Don’t let pictures of the lobby fool you. Our first room was dirty and full of broken/unrepaired items (electrical outlets didn’t work, tub in shower was cracked and dirty, toothbrush holder was hanging off the wall, towel shelf was hanging off the wall, peep hole in our door was cracks and unusable, room phone didn’t work, curtains were dusty, lamps were broken, etc...). The worst part about our room was ants (we were on the 4th floor), and flies that kept coming out of a drain in the bathroom floor. After tolerating our first room for a few days, we finally asked for a new room. The new room still had flies coming out of the floor in the bathroom and the safe didn’t work. I ended up carrying all of our cash around on my person because I had so much distrust for this hotel. On top of all the frustration we were feeling due to the abhorrent state of our first room, the manager blamed us for staying in a room we weren’t happy with! Also, hotel staff flagged down cabs for us twice and, unbeknownst to us until the end of our cab rides, had agreed with the cab drivers on a rediculous sum for the cab fare that was more than it should have cost. This hotel should not be recommended to anyone. It was a complete dump on the less desirable side of Amman. Almost ruined our entire trip. Sad, but true.

Sehr nette Personal,
Alles war gut bis auf ein Problem und zwar mit dem Internet!
Es gibt Internet aber sehr begrenzt! D.h. man darf weder Download noch abload! Nicht einmal ein Bild oder ein WhatsApp Sprachdatei!
It's dirty, this place is not worth 3,1/2 star its old building and dirty with no service

Here on a tour...
As far as three stars go-especially in capital cities- it is okay.
I had a friendly greeting at 3 am when I arrived. Got to sleep comfortably until a harpy rang early looking for payment.
Hotel shows its age and chain lock is feebly attached to molding that falls off at slightest touch.
A bit far from things.
But staff are friendly and the buffet breakfast is very good- great foool.
Sure wish the lovely terrace was non-smoking but too common here.
This hotel literally has everything you need. Gym, pool, jacuzzi, and the rooms are extremely spacious. My friends and I went and we had such an amazing time there. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They really went out of their way to help us out. If I ever go back to Jordan again, I will definitely stay there! =)

We were expecting more !
The room was huge but a little "overdue". We ask ourself if it was an "internet" room for those who doesn't pay the whole amount. We were on the army floor. Yes, all the other rooms were filled with Palestinian police sharing their rooms with another soldier. The carpet was a little crappy with burnt mark and all these stuff. But the bed was huge and comfortable and the soldiers were silent after 10 pm. The staff was too busy to take a real care of us. Attention !!! When we register, the guy dropped our Israeli visas on the floor behind the counter and we had to tell him to bring the visas back inside our passports. Whitout those visas, impossible to come back to Allenby bridge. If we wouldn't pay attention,we would have lost our visas. CAREFULL. The breakfast was ordinary.
Frankly, it looks OK from the outside, but needs a major refit internally. It's very dated and tired looking now. The reception staff and housekeeping staff were quite good, but the waiters clearly had little, or no, training. I woudn't stay there again. IIt's on a very main and noisy main road...hard to cross much of the time. There's nothing around it of any interest, lucky taxis are cheap in Amman,

Spacious Facilities. I only discovered after checking out that there is a fine restaurant on the top floor.
the hotel is clean, location is not good, their Restaurant is not at all good, there are no nearby good restaurants, difficult to get taxi. there is no parking area, WiFi is not available in rooms you have to get down the to the lobby where also you get hardly connection. Rooms are Clean and neat, swimming pool and Jacuzzi is good.
A nice hotel in Amman, clean and elegant. The staff is awesome, very careful and friendly. Perfect location if you have to work around the University area. I recommend it.

A convenient hotel for the meetings I had but not very near the centre. However, taxis are easily available and taxi drivers very helpful.
