Nice Property Poor Service Communication

Good experience: Located by a canal in a quiet residential area but within 20 minutes walk to city centre with lots of nice restaurants, bars and shops. A bar/restaurant downstairs at the corner serves good food and drinks, good vibe. Apartment is spacious, clean, with most essentials like water boiler, dish washer, cooking accessories....etc. Bathroom fittings and appliances require fixing and maintenance though. Bad experience: Very poor check-in communication - meaning, no check-in help. Didn't receive access pin on time and communication is only through whatsapp or email (mostly talking to a robot). We arrived 6am in amsterdam and finally get settled in the apartment at 4pm. Message sent to us saying we can check-in early and leave luggage at their concierge but this location has NO concierge. Comment: It's a nice property as long as you plan well ahead for arrival time (check-in at 3pm) and be ready to be on email/whatsapp (wifi access) for communication.

A perfect accommodation for families

The apartment is located in an area full of arts and cultural things. There are many workshops there for arts, design, music and dancing. Spent a half day walk, and you will love to see all these things.

The worst apartment I ever live!

We wait for 30 mins for check in, finally the staff said can't do the check at airport, need to go somewhere else, fine! But the place for check in is really far from the apartment, hard to take the luggage to the hotel. We booked apartment with balcony, but this room is lower the ground floor, we have the take our 4* 20kg luggage Walking down the very small rotary stairs to our room, Living room is big, but the light can't turn on, the toilet is small the light can't turn on also, sent 2 email to the short stay group, 2 days no reply! We have to use the toilet with our iPhone to light up for two day! The room no window can't open, the light is so dark too! The pillow and bed is too soft! Totally not worth it, Will not live again so regret book this hotel!

Amazing vintage shops and cafes nearby, in a fabulous street that takes you to the city centre in a 15 minute walk. This was a lovely characterful part of Amsterdam that we enjoyed much more than the larger tourist areas. The flat was nicely presented, basic but comfortable. The proximity to the local shops and Central Amsterdam was great.

The property charges an additional city tax to your stay that was completely undisclosed before you book the room. For three nights, I paid an additional $166. in addition, my check in that was guaranteed by Expedia for 3pm was changed to 430pm by YAYS stating they had to modify due to unforeseen circumstances. Even as they changed it to 430pm, the room was still not ready. They offered 10% off the first night which was pretty minimal considering the service failures were completely on their end. I would not recommend this property to anyone. The charges that weren’t disclosed before you booked the room just isn’t good business at all!
