BEWARE!!
I booked this hotel through Expedia from September 16 to 20, 2025 and had one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. I want to share my story so other travelers don’t go through what my wife and I did.
1. Unbearable conditions: The room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning did not work. My wife became exhausted and unwell from the heat.
2. Misleading listing: The room turned out to be a basement unit, something never disclosed in the listing. Had I known this, I would not have booked.
3. No support when we needed it: We contacted Expedia immediately, but hotel staff said no one would come until the following day. Out of concern for my wife’s health, we had no choice but to check out that same night.
4. Accusations instead of accountability: I personally messaged the hotel, but instead of showing understanding, they accused me of staying the night and leaving in the morning. That is not true. In the rush and confusion caused by the heat, my wife left some belongings in the room. I had to take an Uber back the next day to collect them, and when I arrived, the keys were still hanging in the door — showing that no one had even checked the room.
5. Unfair charges: Despite everything, the hotel refused to refund the unused nights. I was charged the full CAD 480, which is a significant amount for my family.
This was not the experience advertised, nor the treatment a guest should ever receive. Instead of honesty and compassion, I was met with denial.
