Big surprises were no drink making facilities in the room, no cup in the bathroom, a hideous shower arrangement over a tiny bath where the shower screen opens inwards over the bath leaving about 6” of space to climb through before struggling to close the screen. 「This is a lovely hotel, wonderfully located, with exceptional service. While the historic aspect of the building is well preserved and charming, the decor is a bit dated and old. The bed is comfortable but sheets are slightly on the rough side. I happened to stay when the temperature was exceptionally HOT, so the AC could only do so much.
