“My stay was perfect. Having spent my summers on the Bras d’Or lake as a child I knew what I was getting with regards to lake (it is clear, warmer than the ocean, salt water —perfect to me!), but this was my first stay at Lakeside Luxury. I booked the cottage which was a great option for privacy, the screened porch was perfect for the mornings and evenings to get away from bugs. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa and there were some really great finishes in the cottage to give it……

“I loved this stay. The old heirlooms and kitchen tools were very cool. Comfy beds and couches. Bright and cozy. Very relaxing and comfortable. ”

“Looking for peace and quiet with an amazing view; this is the place to go. The wooden cottage is located up a hill with an amazing view on Lake Bras d’Or. The pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, the drive up the hill is quite steep and the gravel road is quite bumpy. If you don’t drive a 4x4 or an awd vehicle, make sure your car is not too close to the ground or you could scrape and cause damage.”

“This cottage is very cute and authentic and totally private. It is secluded and has such a beautiful viewsIt is up a relatively steep hill, but very accessible by car. The interior is low tech, but that’s not what we were looking for.It is still cozy and practical.The kitchen is fully furnished. The washer dryer are perfect, as well as the bbq (brand new and super clean).Ursula was a very friendly host and we are grateful for this experience!”

“This is a fantastic place for a family mix of ages. Great deck overlooking the lake. Kayaks were a big hit with the older kids. The house itself was ideal with well appointed kitchen, 5 bedrooms and the 2 bathrooms were a godsent. The size of the place meant 9 people and a dog were never on top of each other and the large living room was excellent for evening get togethers. The wifi and TV were good but as noted the phone coverage was next to non-existent (this is the fault of the service……

“Quick trip for our anniversary. What a great property,clean and EVERYTHING thought out in great detail.Great location and super quiet.Thanks . The only negative thing was the hot tub cover (water logged ) for a small cover its not very easy to put back on the tub.”

“Secluded with water access. Great for kayaking and canoeing and ability to have a camp fire. Loads of wildlife, cranes, woodpeckers, rabbits, grouse and eagles. The perfect camping experience with the luxury of a comfortable bed and a functional kitchen. ”

Everything was provided(even milk for the morning coffee)Grant is top notch; he met us upon our arrival and provided insight to start our trip off on a high note.Will return for fall to see the colours of the Cabot Trail.
