Tighten up the details

This is our second time staying here and hopefully that shows that it is a lovely enough property to stay at again. that being said, it seems like a few of the small details and amenities are a little less than desired: There was some soot and the water seemed a little low in the hot tub, the garbage disposal was kinda stinky, the kitchen towels were old and need replacing, there was dish soap in one of the soap dispensers in the primary bedroom bathroom, the standing fan in the primary bedroom rattled something awful and was unusable. Things like that aren't deal breakers but for the higher price, it would be nice if the upkeep of the house was a priority so guests feel like they're fully getting their money's worth

LOVE

This is the best house! We felt so comfortable and would highly recommend it. The location is awesome and we felt safe. It’s nice that it’s a little outside Taos but not too far away. It tookabout 10 minutes drive to get to Taos.The house has all the amenities needed! The patios are incredible. There is a big patio on each side of the house with dining table, chairs, umbrellas, and lounge chairs. One has a hot tub and the other has a grill. We ate breakfast on one side and dinner on the other according to where the sun was. The views there are beautiful. The kitchen has all dishes and cookware needed with a traditional coffee maker as well as a K cup maker. The beds were very comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!

AWESOME house, huge property management company is bad

The house is as amazing as the pictures look - beautiful adobe house with great views and cozy interiors. Kitchen was great and we loved the hot tub at night. Great spot to stay at. However, when we opened the key lock box for the Casita, there was no key in there. No big deal, we reached out to the property management company. We kept getting a “we’ll get back to you” for the entire week we stayed there. I reached out every day or 2 for the whole week and we were never assisted or given the Casita key, so we never got access to the whole Casita. What’s more, a customer service agent said they’d give us a modest refund since we never got access to the room. A week later, after we left, they changed their mind and said they can’t give us any refund. Not getting access to the Casita was a bummer, and it was frustrating to be speaking to a different help agent, none local, each time we reached out. Would’ve been fine to just give us a small refund, as they said they would, but then they would’ve even do that. So all in all, it’s a great spot, but don’t expect any support whatsoever from a large corporation that only cares about extracting profit.

The home was beautiful and spacious. However the hot tub was slimy and the temperature never got past 95 degrees. Also the jets in the tub of the bathroom did not work. Other than that it was really nice.

Gorgeous Home

The pictures of this house do not do it justice. It’s warm, well decorated, spacious. Perfect for a family with older kids. Everyone had their space. Our dog loved sniffing all around the property. The best is the radiant floor heat. It made the house feel so cozy during the winter. We will definitely stay again!

Poor communication but great home

This was was beautiful and comfortable. Bad start though because we weren't told about pushing the padlock in and out after putting in the code so we sat outside the gate for over 2 hours trying to get assistance from VRBO and Vacassa! Upon arrival, we had a completely full garbage container outside and it never was emptied on trash day so we had to take 2 bags of trash with us when we left. Hot tub was one of the main reasons we chose this house, but there were no chemicals and no maintenance ever done in the 6 days we stayed so water level became very low and water had unpleasant odor the last 2 days. The local rep "Josh" promised he would get back to us prior to Monday with a proposal for compensation for our 2 hour inconvenience at the gate on the first day. Here we are leaving Wednesday and have still never heard from him. Not the best vacation stay! Vacassa!

Exceptional!

Other than problems with gaining access to the home, due to faulty lock box, our stay was a wonderful experience. This was solved promptly by management. Everything about this home was exceptional: the furnishings, artwork, textiles, kitchen, cleanliness of hot tub, etc were by far superior to any rental we have experienced. It was comfortable, relaxing, and has amazing views!

A truly lovely stay

This was the perfect out of town getaway we were looking for. Property was clean, cozy, and a perfect, private oasis. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking to explore Taos and the surrounding areas!

Beautiful location and Beautiful house

This house is as advertised. Spacious, beautiful with multiple outside seating areas and conveniently located to Taos. Just far enough to be out of the hubbub but close enough to easily go there for groceries and fun. We had our entire family there and had plenty of room and had a hard time leaving the house it was so lovely.

It is a little out of the way and so we tons of privacy. I was a little worried about there being no air conditioning as we there in July but the house actually stayed pleasantly cool with just the fans.

Great ski trip house

The place was awesome, great furnishings (we were really impressed with the kitchen utensils) and very close to the Taos resort. The only negative is reception is kind of spotty in the area so make sure you have back up directions written down and don’t rely on Google maps to get you around.

Beautiful Adobe Home

Loved the house. Amazingly clean and so comfortable. Loved the master bedroom. Was surprised that the bath was farther away than I would have expected, but was okay after I acclimated to not having a bathroom not connected to our room. Kitchen was great even though it was hard to tell how well supplied it was with cooking stuff from the description. Really enjoyed our stay.

Multi-generation ski vacation

Casa Olufsen was a perfect 'home-base' for our Taos vacation. The home's layout was perfect and location relative to Taos and Taos ski valley were very convenient. My sons and I skied Taos 2 days and loved every minute. We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday at Medley. It was wonderful. Everyone had a great time exploring Taos. My 21 month old granddaughter even got to try out her skis at the Casa! We loved the kitchen, the hot tub and the genuine New Mexico 'vibe'! Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Christmas Vacation

Beautiful and clean property close to Taos Ski Valley. Kitchen was well stocked which was perfect since we cooked a few meals over Christmas. Everyone said the beds were comfortable and the floor heating was a nice touch. We had plenty of space for our party of 5. Would stay again if we get back to Taos.

Family Ski Trip to Taos

The home was so beautiful and nurturing after strenuous days of skiing! 20 minutes to TSV. The kitchen had all we needed and a grill, and the hot tub made the trip! The surrounding mountain view’s from the home were stunning We will be back. Thank you so much!

Family ski trip

We had a GREAT stay! The house was so clean and well stocked. We had lots of space for the 7 of us and the beds were very comfortable. Everything we needed and more. The hot tub was so nice after a day of skiing and the outdoor fireplace was great for s’mores. We highly recommend this home. I would recommend if you plan on cooking that you make a stop for groceries before leaving the main road as it is a few miles back in town. Thanks for helping us make great memories with the grand kids!
