  • Final camping trip of the season and we finally have sun for once. This weekend we camping at Point Farms Provincial Park off of Lake Huron. It's our first time here and the beach is enormous!!! I highly recommend visiting this place as its great for families. White sandy beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. Water is cold but refreshing with only a little bit of seaweed. The shallow end extends quite far out giving you lots of room to have fun without getting in anyone's way. Bugs aren't too bad either. There is no firewood available within the park but a 30 second drive north outside the park marks a small variety store where you can buy all your camping needs such as fire starters, wood, kindling, and so on. The closest grocery store is about a 20 minute drive south towards Goderich called Zehers. This parks marks our 30th provincial park in Ontario.

Peaceful & pretty little get-away!

Inn was quaint and clean, good location, everything only a short drive. No A/C in the room, but that was mentioned in booking I just didn't realize it. After 3 days of lovely hot weather to room never cooled off that much with only the fans, but the fans did work somewhat. Angus was a great host, good breakfasts and always had good suggestions on what to do/where to go.

Delicious breakfast, pleasant location

The hosts were very accommodating and went above and beyond the agreement so that I felt welcome and comfortable. The neighbourhood is very quiet, with access to the river and a 10 minute walk down to a small lakefront beach. Larger waterfront amenities and restaurants can be found a short drive away.
