"I thought the gorilla theme was really cute and liked the shared space dorm feeling. Some guests were cheerful and not especially quiet but once it got late it was quiet and we slept well. It actually felt festive and pleasant. The bath facilities were clean. There could have been more garbage bins as they got full quickly and it became difficult to separate. The space had a good feeling and it was comfortable to sleep on futons even as a family. There's not much privacy so it might not be great...

"Beautiful peaceful ryokan with the full Japanese experience. We loved both of the bookable bathhouses- great after a chilly day in the Deer Park. "Absolutely wonderful inn to stay at (Ryokan), and our favorite stay of a two week Japan trip. It felt like an authentic Japanese experience, while still being very accessible to foreigners like us. The owners are very friendly and attentive right from when you arrive. The rooms are a traditional style with tatami floors. The rooms look out over a small creek so it is very peaceful. They will set up the futon beds for you in the evening. I have a bad back so was a little worried about the...

"Not only was the property clean, easy to locate, walkable and quiet but the lady who runs the hotel is an absolute sweetheart. The breakfast she made us was better than a lot of the food I was eating at restaurants. I would recommend this stay to anyone. "
