Ok the staff are really nice and trying to run a respectable establishment but there’s no getting around the fact that the hotel is really quite shabby and in a very sketchy area, and the room was pretty filthy. Again the reception staff were lovely and the breakfast was great but these are the only perks to this hotel.

Staff was excellent. It's a travelers hotel. The cab drivers were even afraid to go down these streets to drop us off. People were screaming outside all night with the police sirens were blaring

Good location. Good value for money. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. A lot of light spots. Personal safe could be a useful addition. Some maintenance stupid but annoying issues like a toilet seat not properly installed. Overall good value for the money.

Our stay at Hotel Epidavros was great! Easy to find with great signage and stopping bay out front to unload your luggage. The guy at the front desk was amazing and helped me locate my flight details with a quick phone call, I had my boarding passes and he had checked me in within minutes! The area is perfectly safe, we walked home from the centre of the city after dark without concerns. You will see here in Athens what you have seen in Sydney Or any other large city. The room was perfect, a good size with everything clean, even the sheets were monographed. Aircon great, shower and bathroom size perfect for us (2) There is paid parking in the local streets but we managed to find a park twice on the street quite close. A short walk up the street takes you to a main road which leads to the centre, easy walk around 15mins or jump on a bus. Go anywhere with that ticket on any public transport for the next 90mins. Great value Hotel Epidavros! We’ll be back!

The staff were very polite! We were able to store our luggage before check-in with no issue. Sadly, the area around the hotel had a lot of drug use & homeless people. A local warned me to be careful as there are rising crime rates in that area. The shower & bathroom were incredibly tiny in the standard room so having more than one person in there was nearly impossible. The walls let a lot of noise through & we were unlucky to be next to a group of people that wouldn’t stop being loud until 1am or later each night when we had early wake-up's for tours. They also don’t have laundry as stated on the page, there’s laundry nearby & they said there’s a place that will do pick up & drop off service. The only good thing was the balcony & the friendliness of the staff. Otherwise, I won’t stay here again.

Arrived early hours of sat morning 06/04/24 staff were great.entered the room of stay,being half a sleep,woke me up ,from pictures supplied on hotels. Com to what i was looking at that present moment.ask for a picture of room 101.the bathroom, alittle bigger than a aircraft toilet, you could not close the bathroom door,swollen door.the bed mattress was lumpy due to the springs sticking up into the cloth.the lights kept tripping fuse,which by luck ,the fuse board was in the room.the room had a view outside( another wall with pipes hanging off,and a lean to roof,diy ed box section welded to the middle off the balustrade. Two big aircon units standing otherside of the balcony floor.we was expecting a bar at the hotel,that also shows and in the itillerary says that their is a bar,it turns out to be vending machines,with tins of beer.the staff were great with no fault there five star but from what i book was not what i received, too me it felt false advertising.

Room didn’t match the pictures online, bathroom had mould on the roof and was generally average. Mattress dipped in the middle. The reception didn’t let us keep our key which we googled and saw is normal in Europe but after 22 European countries I have never experienced it. Area around the hotel is a bit dodgy but that’s not their fault

Cheap but still not worth it

The beds were terrible the staff knows nothing about the area to find your way around the pictures are of the renovated lobby not of the rooms the restaurant bar and coffee shop Do not actually work. The television in my room had to be plugged in unplugged in order to turn on and off it would not work my remote and they would not exchange televisions or fix it. You can hear everything from the other rooms to the walls.

Cheap for a reason

Hole in bed sheets, room smelt of smoke Smashed window on balcony, had to leave key at reception every time you left the room. Fridge didn't work and was dirty bathroom shower head had no place to hold the shower head Door to bathroom was almost unusable Good points it's very central near a metro line , staff at desk were helpful enough no water in room ceiling was flaking off Didn't really have a good sleep due to all this and the smell of smoke that wasnt nice

Awful place to stay

The accommodation was awful and in an awful area. Pictures on bookings.com were not what we experienced. Bed had hairs in it and stains on it. Shower cubicle was cracked, mirrors broken and awful smells from aircon. Would not recommend staying. We had to move hotel for the second night and pay again ourselves. No refund would be given.
