The staff were very friendly. The issues overshadowed this, however. The first issue was that our fridge did not work but this was quickly fixed (maybe within 45 minutes). The second issues is that the bathroom was not cleaned - there was mold, dirty, and hair around the shower door/glass rim. The final straw was that only ONE elevator was working t to get to the parking garage. One elevator out of 6 for an hotel full of people. We waited upwards of 15 minutes JUST to get on the elevator to go to the parking garage. Totally outrageous. Oh, and $4 for the bottle of water they place in your room. Overall, great customer service but I would t stay here again.

The suite was lovely with a spectacular dockside view. Easily accommodated 7 adults as a hospitality suite prior to dinner. It has a wet bar and round table large enough for a b’day cake and snacks. It’s at the far end of the hallway so it could be a problem for those with mobility issues. Room service is unavailable until mid week but free parking is a great perk.

Although our stay was OK, we were disappointed after our Wi-Fi connectivity went down. We noticed first as the TV set was not acting properly. At certain points the picture would freeze and you couldn’t change channels up or down. Even after turning the television set off and on the issue continued. After a while of trying to get everything to work, I checked the Wi-Fi connectivity on my cell phone by trying to stream from one of my accounts and nothing would work. I shut off the Wi-Fi connection and was able to stream on my 5G connection which told me that there definitely was a problem with the Wi-Fi. We called the front desk and were told that they would alert the team that handles the Wi-Fi connectivity and after about 20 minutes or so the issue was still not corrected. We called the front desk to find out if someone was going to visit the room to work on the issue or if they were going to be working from their office or server area. We were told that someone was supposed to come to the room. After about an hour of waiting and the issue still not resolved and no one visiting the room, We called the front desk to cancel the ticket as we were settled in and ready to just use our cell phones. Upon checkout, we visited the front desk and we’re pleased to find out that the amenities fees were to be returned to our credit card and that it should take a few days. We’ll wait and see. (Before leaving, the issue was still not fixed)

I booked a “Luxury King Room with Bay View” and unfortunately the experience did not match what was advertised. The biggest issue was the shower. When I went to take a shower, the handle literally flew off in my hand. The shower became unusable and we were unable to shower during our stay. I brought the detached handle and photos to the front desk in the morning. The resort fee was waived, which I appreciated, but the interaction with the front desk staff member was extremely unpleasant. The response was essentially “what do you want me to do about it,” which is not the level of service you would expect when reporting a broken fixture in a premium room. The room itself also did not match what was advertised. I specifically booked a “bay view” room, but the view was mostly of the helicopter pad. The description of the room felt very misleading. Another major issue was noise. The walls are incredibly thin. We could clearly hear hallway activity early in the morning (4:30am), and the plumbing between rooms is extremely loud. When the neighboring room used their shower, the sound of the pipes was so loud it woke us up. I expected a much better experience given the room category that was booked. While the waived resort fee was appreciated, the overall stay did not meet the standard advertised for a luxury bay view room.

Comfortable bed, large room equipped with couch and ottoman. Clean bathroom and bed, but night table was sticky and couch had quite a few crumbs. Soundproofing could be better … noise from other rooms and the halls woke us up at night. But that seems to be a common problem at hotels in Atlantic City!

We got to the Golden Nugget around 2:30pm and didn’t get our room until 5:30-6:00pm. We were told that the window for a room could be until 11pm!!! We had reservations for dinner and a a show starting at 7:00. So of. Course we had to rush. The only reason we got a room at that time was because my fiancé made it a point about our reservations. The”manager “ was able to help us after she had a “meeting” at 4:00 on a Sunday afternoon. As we got to the room the corridors all had the essence of Mariboro and Newports as an air freshener. We had a great night on the town afterwards. And we woke up to grab breakfast for $25.00 each which was hard hash browns and fake eggs. Needless to say we’d were not happy or pleased with the results. Borgata here we come!
