Property does not meet standards of the Hilton hotel chain brand. Overdue for renovation. Room finishes worn, damaged. Hall finishes same condition. Wall paper stained, carpet stained. Elevator broken.

The elevator was being 'worked on'. Saw no signs of this. Had to wait every time to get someone to operate the elevator. We were in town to celebrate a friend's birthday, so spent a lot of time dining out. This was a pain having to wait for someone for the elevator. So we just took the stairs after while. Other than that. Staff was AMAZING!!!

Staff was great. Elevator is broken and apparently has been for months which requires staff to operate the one working elevator. Need to call front desk to access elevator. Reserved a roll-in shower for one room via Expedia and the room provided had a tub. Property condition needs some refurbishing.

There was no staff at the reception, 2 days in a row. The elevator was not working Lamp was not working in the room. This means poor room service and non existing quality control! The room was dirty, very smelly and outdated compared to other Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels.

The furniture was dirty . The shower head was filthy with mildew. The rugs in the room were smelly and so much hair from other dogs. Pet friendly doesn’t translate as poorly room conditions. I have no choice but to stay due to a business conference but never again.

I was nervous after I booked about all the negative reviews. But pleasantly surprised when I got there. The rooms were clean and neat, much to be expected for the price. Elevator not working was a bit inconvenient. But otherwise, good. Good breakfast.

Good one night stay
One of the elevators was not working and the other had to be operated a staff member. While that worked pretty smoothly, it did mean waiting around more than is normal for the elevator. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were great. I didn’t like the duvet on the bed. Too hot. The carpeting in the room was frayed Breakfast was good, not great. Staff was friendly

room door had been bashed in and not properly fixed, people could see in my room. Blood on the curtains. There was trash in the trash cans and the towels had been used. When asked for a different room, they said there were no other rooms available and it was too late to find another hotel. The elevator has been broken for over two months. Did not feel safe!

After booking and receiving a confirmation, and seeing my reservation, I called hotel two hours later to confirm and was told my reservation was canceled due to overbooking and Expedia was supposed to call me to advise. The staff (Michelle) was condescending. And I was charged for the stay when my reservation was canceled without my knowledge - the only reason my husband and I (with our dog) didn’t drive 90 minutes from home to attend a wedding with plans of staying at this hotel is due to me calling the hotel to confirm. So, we had to turn around, go home, unpack, get our dog situated, and then rush to get ready for the wedding. Extremely disappointing experience. Also, would like a refund to my account as soon as possible, as I did not stay at the hotel.

The hotel really needs to be updated. One of our bed frames was broken, there were big holes in our blinds, our room door looked like it had once been pried open with a crowbar, I cut my leg on a piece of bed frame that was jutting out, the elevators weren’t working properly, and the outer door closest to our room was unlocked 24/7 (you didn’t need to swipe your key to gain entry).

The staff we interacted with were extremely friendly. However our first room offered had a terrible smell and it took 4 additional hours to clean and get a room ready for another. The elevator was not working properly and claimed they didn’t have our email on file to tell us in advanced. Each time we had to take it, had to call the front desk for a worker to help. These workers were tasked with so much and did it with a smile and friendly manner. Wish management would have hired a bell hopper to main the elevator demand on thanksgiving weekend then using their staff to try to cover it. One time we wanted 8 mins for someone to come and operate it.

A lot of the amenities that were supposed to be provided were not, for example we did not have enough towels, no cooking pots or utensils, stove was not working, grill was not working… ect and many more things. At least we did get a refund. Thank you for refunding us but I will not be staying again.

Below a one start rating. I have stayed at this property before and at that time was in great condition. It seems that there has either been of change of ownership, employees or influx of people living there. Rooms were disgusting. Heavily soiled couches, broken dresser drawers, animal urine that permeated the room, torn darkening shades, elevators that wouldn’t open, etc. I could go on and on.

If you need a place to sleep, it's perfect.
This was our first time staying with Homewood in NJ. The building is in good condition and our room was what we expected. Clean and Ready for Bed. The bathroom was disappointing and looked like a suedo repair job for the shower. No door, must have broken, replaced with fabric liner. Clean just under construction. The elevators were broken so in order to use them you had to wait for a staff member which was annoying since the staircases are at each far ends of the building and the staff running them was housekeeping so they weren't always ready and available when needed. We had a lot of stuff with us so the stairs wasn't feasible unless we did 2-5 trips for what we needed and our room was in the middle of the building. Two housekeepers smelled like pot and housekeeping attempted to walk into our room at NINE AM. 9am. Check out is 11am. They knocked, we responded, but they proceeded to unlock the door. Thankfully it was bolted and they apologized. Not ideal for how I want to wake up on a Saturday morning. For what we needed, it was fine. Breakfast was the best part along with our room being in good shape.

The first room I was in, the windows were unlocked and the screen had a cut in it on the first floor. The curtains would not close. The second room I was on the 3rd floor the room windows were also unlocked and the screen was bent and open. I did not feel safe. I had to place a chair under the door handle and I grew up on this area. Wont stay here again when I visit.

Not a winner!
Hotel was very outdated and needed an update. Flooring in kitchens was coming up, carpet in room looked very old and stained. My wife even found a German roach in the room. We stayed for 3 nights and never once had someone clean or straighten the room up, ask us if we needed any thing. I would not recommend this hotel, there are much better choices in the area.

Worst than any cheap 1 star motel, facilities are sub par, dirty everywhere; air conditioning, elevator, pool, door, tv not working; same goes with employees' nasty attitudes from front desk to housekeeping. This hotel should close down and not to be allowed for hospitality business at all

Upon arriving, the system was down and we were unable to check-in. The lobby, hallways and elevators were stiflingly hot. I was there for a wedding and was in and out of many of the rooms. Not a single room had any hand soap, which just begins to touch upon the lack of cleanliness. There was only two sheets and a blanket for the pullout couch bed. One of the sheets had what looked like a semen stain connecting two points of the sheet. There were no pillows and when we called down, we were informed that there were none. We called various times for an extra sheet and blanket and were provided with nothing. There were bugs in most of the room. The bridal suite, 401 had numerous roaches, beetles and spiders as we got ready. On Saturday afternoon, the elevator broke. I have an ankle injury and nearly fell down the stairs trying to get down the four flights. Hours later when they were fixed, the elevator would drop when it stopped and often went to the wrong floors. The staff was of no help at any point in time. No one had any information on the shuttle, guest bags, or even basic hotel information. We had planned to swim but upon seeing the cloudy green water, decided against it. The hotel was grossly understaffed. One person in our party called for a concern and was met with a flustered woman who, instead of helping her, complained about the fact that she was alone. It was a horrible experience.
