Charming Historic Cottage with Private Waterfront on Core Sound -Pet Friendly

Enjoy spectacular sunrises, moon lit nights and gorgeous views of Core Sound from this recently renovated historic studio cabin. Pet friendly. 200 feet of private beach (this is the sound so it is not a beach with waves) and shared pier access. Pier can be used for motorized or non-motorized boats but the sound is very shallow and requires a flat bottom boat. Queen bed. High speed internet and smart TV. Streaming services with your own account. Bring your bikes to explore the town of Atlantic. Bring your boat/kayaks to take advantage of the outstanding fishing and beaches of Cape Lookout National Seashore that can be accessed by boat or ferry. Enjoy lunch at White Point Take Out. Dinner at Paddys Take Out or Wild Wills Revenge. No grocery store in town so make sure to stop along the way in Beaufort or New Bern. Dollar general is 5 miles away in Sealevel. Lovely restaurants and shopping in Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic Beach 25 mi. away.

Absolutely delightful little cottage, perfect for a solo weekend getaway. Love how quiet and secluded it is, not the usual touristy beach vacation (but within driving distance to do the traditional stuff!). Dark skies at night made for incredible stargazing! Kitchen was well stocked, comfortable bed, nice sized bathroom, beautiful view of the water. Will definitely be planning a return trip.

Caught fish from shore and shared pier with full moon and king tides. Weather was beautiful until windy with approaching coastal low. Well equipped small cottage with beautful views of water, birds, porpoise, sunrise over water and exceptional full harvest moonrise! Relaxing respite from rat race.

Adorable cottage! Well stocked, nice attention to detail. Location very peaceful and private. Loved the view and spacious yard for our dog! Owner very accessible and helpful. Provided a lot of info for the area which we took advantage of! Local seafood was delicious!

8th Anniversary

It was a quaint and cozy cabin. Our overall experience was wonderful. It started off rocky as we arrived later than we anticipated. We knew the cabin was pet friendly and anticipated such but was very disappointed when we pulled the navy blue bed linens back and they were covered in pet hair. Dollar General to the Rescue! We had an amazing time. Even in the rain. I can’t imagine the stories this small piece of heaven could tell. I know there is a history here that is amazing. Thank you for sharing with us!

Another great New Years break!

My wife and I have stayed here every New Years weekend for the past 3 years. If you are looking for a restful and quiet getaway we'd highly recommend this cottage. A short drive to Cedar Island and you'll have miles of beautiful beach to walk and enjoy with very few people at this time of year.

This is a tough one to review

OK- I am not reviewing this exact property. Why? - the system double booked this place (now fixed). The owners quickly and kindly offered us a large farmhouse that was 2 homes away from this one. It was fabulous. Large home, all the amenities and an amazing view and dock. Normally no pets but the owners made an exception for us. We agreed to not use the upstairs to save any additional cleaning with the dogs. Very clean and welcoming. No issues at all (well, there was no power when we got there due to prior storms). Caretaker was very responsive and let us know when Duke Power would have power back on. All in all a great stay and would book from these owners again.

Little getaway for relaxation and some fishing

Property was gorgeous and peaceful... Owners had problem with Vrbo and other company with overbooking but they took care of us and gave us their other Property which was just as charming as the cabin. Dock was so gorgeous... have nothing bad to say about anything. Extremely Extremely clean and Property was Very Maintained...

We had a nice, quiet weekend here. We liked the layout of the house, the deck, and the large yard. We brought our dogs, and they had a blast running around. They even made a doggie friend. Neighbors are very friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic!

So happy we found this little gem! The area is so quiet and peaceful, and the view of the sound from the cabin is perfect. The host was excellent and quick with communication. Would 100% stay again and we hope to return next summer!
