Convenient Hotel to Ellerslie. The hotel needs major updating. There was some mold in the bathroom. The lack of bathroom privacy from the bedroom was weird. When we checked out, there was no one at the front desk. We left our key.

It is within walking distance of mount smart stadium, if you have a level of fitness, but maybe not so easy during heavy rain.

Friendly helpful staff, check-in was great. Great location for concerts at Mt Smart, but they know that and bump their prices. No sink in the kitchen meant there are hidden veges under the bathroom plug :)

The Premium twin Room was clean. The Beds had very soft mattresses which gave us a really sore back, and resulted in a very poor night's sleep. The Shower was good , the wash hand basin had a large crack through the middle, the extractor fan did not work. All towels and bed linen were clean..The coffee/Tea making facilities were clean and worked, and the TV was also in working order.
