Extremely disappointing and concerning experience. We waited for over 20 minutes just to be acknowledged at the front desk before being checked in. Later that evening, my mother tried to access her room but her key card wasn't working for the 2nd night in a row. What followed was unacceptable: we waited over 2 hours for staff to get her into her room, making multiple trips up and downstairs to ask for updates. We were repeatedly told that no maintenance staff were avaliable, despite the fact that all of her belongings and her medication were locked inside. We even had to get new key cards made for my room because I got locked out due to issues with their locking system.
Eventually, staff managed to unlock the door, propped it open, and left the room unattended with all her belongings inside while they came to find us. This was a serious security concern.
The next morning made things worse - my mither was locked inside her room and unable to get out because the latch was getting stuck on the door. She had to finagle the lock while i pushed from the outside to resolve the issue. The door looked like somebody had tried to open it with a crowbar in the past.
The entire situation was stressful, unsafe, and handled with veryblittle urgency or care. Issues with room access, especially when medications are involved, should be treated as emergencies. Unfortunately, this hotel fell far short in basic service, safety, and professionalism.
