Not So Great In Avignon

There are pluses and minuses. Plus* fairly spacious * good air conditioning * decent size * comfortable and well equipped. Negatives outweigh the positives. * instructions to obtain apartment keys were very complicated. a few days prior to our arrival we learned we had to go to another location— hotel to pick up a remote to open the building door. 5 hotels in the area had the same name. The owner didn’t specify the hotel address and only provided pictures. Public transportation she suggested was very complicated to access. If we had known how difficult it was to gain entry to the apartment, we would never have selected this property. Upon entering the building we found excessive cobwebs, spiders, spider eggs and dirty rags, * the staircase was dank and dark * the staircase finial was missing leaving a dangerous rod * no info was provided about hall lights * there was a complicated lock release to exit the building and no instructions * toilet paper and laundry detergent were minimal * lack of details provided to use washer/dryer, tv, etc.Host was very argumentative, defensive and rude. We had to resort to contacting VRBO for their assistance. The TV stopped working. We replaced the remotes’ batteries at our expense and restarted the TV and cable which fixed the TV. Host blamed us for disrupting her service.

Appartement très confortable et spacieux, parfaitement situé pour profiter de la ville tout en étant bien isolé du bruit du festival (si vous y êtes en juillet). Nous avons trouvé tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner et nous reposer. Ménage attentionné et hôte très réactive, bref, un séjour parfait
