Rockpool Cottage - Family

  • Family Accommodation Rockpool Cottage - This is a family style beach house. Boasting Avoca Beach views it`s just 300 metres easy walk from the sand. It`s a classic Aussie beach house combining an arty touch of retro surf shack ambience with all the modern comforts and conveniences. Limited parking in Avoca Drive only. There is a granny flat at the rear of the property with access from Ascot Ave.
    - 3 Bedrooms - 1 accessed externally via stairs
    - Sleeps 9
    - 1 Bathroom
    - Air-conditioning
    - BluRay / DVD
    - WiFi
    - Outdoor setting with BBQ
    - Linen and towels are provided at this property

    There is an expansive, north facing, entertainer`s balcony with dress circle and beach views. The kitchen has all the usual appliances including a new ceramic cooktop, plus dishwasher and microwave.
    Two bedrooms are upstairs. Bedroom one has a queen size bed. Bedroom two has a queen size bed with single on top. Main bathroom is upstairs, with adjoining laundry which has washing machine and dryer.

    There is limited parking on Avoca Drive and then stairs to the house.
    The downstairs bedroom has its own EXTERNAL ACCESS and contains queen bed plus one set of bunks. Sunny and bright, this bedroom is ideal for an extra couple, or for the older kids and teenagers. Adjacent to the downstairs bedroom is an old style, unrenovated shower and toilet - perfect to wash the sand off after returning from the beach.

    Charming Avoca Beach is perfectly suited for families with a well-
    protected rock pool, patrolled surf beach, children`s playground, boutique shopping and a la carte restaurants as well as alfresco cafes overlooking the beach. Step back in time at the award winning, character filled Avoca Beach Picture Theatre where featured movies range from unique `Indie Films` to the latest box office smash. Go barefoot bowling, have a hit of tennis or hire a kayak or paddle boat on Avoca Lake.

    This property is let for holiday purposes only and each booking is subject to our Terms and Conditions. No parties or large gatherings are permitted.

Lovely place for a family stay

This place was lovely for our family of four. The house was comfortable and very well appointed. We enjoyed relaxing in the house with books and board games. It was a very easy walk to the beach. The view was great and the outside deck is a lovely place to be.

This house worked really well for our trip. We had ample room. Comfortable beds. Adequately stocked kitchen. Loved the deck. Short walk to the beach. Lighting for the walk up from street much appreciated.

Great family home

We stayed here in late March for my sisters birthday and had our toddler with our group. This home was just perfect for a weekend away. It has a lovely feel to it and everything you need. Waking up and breakfasting on the deck on Sunday morning with all the wildlife was just amazing, especially to the 2 year old who misses it in Sydney. The only downside was accessing the third bedroom from outside rather than internal access. But this would be perfect for teenagers.

Perfect Family Holiday

This house was perfect for our week long holiday. There were two of us and then six teenage boys joined us for the weekend. The walk to the beach was an easy 300m through a park right opposite the house. The facilities were great, with comfy beds and well-appointed kitchen, and the downstairs bedroom and bathroom are perfect for teenagers. It is a very peaceful location, which we prefer on weekends when the crowds and noise increase closer to the beach/restaurants. The Lorikeets and kookaburras popped in to say hello each day which was lovely. Great for one or two families or three couples.

Great simple Aussie beach house on one of the nicest beaches on the Central Coast but with all the basic conveniences for cooking, washing, watching tv, etc. Plenty of colourful birds visiting the house. Beach has a protected paddling area for kids and rockpools to explore. Nice coffee shops, etc. Very relaxing break. No hassles with agent or owner. Better to park at top of drive, as it is a little steep.
