Great cottage for family

First, I want to say that this is the cleanest home I have ever stayed in for vacation. It was more than enough space for the 4 adults and 4 children that went. The pool was great. It was a nice pool for kids because it wasn’t extremely deep, but also perfect for adults too. The outdoor bar was a nice place to be for evening chilling and grilling. The kitchen had a lot of space for cooking and eating.

Apon arrival at the property the outside of the home is weathered and deteriorated. Unfortunately, that is the same impression the interior of the home gave as well. The lay out and amenities of the home DO NOT equal what the weekly rental cost is. This home is not near the sound access, you will have to ride your bike through most of the neighborhood or drive and park to access the sound. The walk to the beach is short if you use the bridge over the pound. We were most unhappy with the cleanliness of the home. Not only did the home appear uncleaned by the property management company (Surf or Sound) the furniture in the home is stained and covered in dog hair. I had to request extra sheets to cover the furn

Can't trust Surf and Sound Realty, don't rent Creative Image#947

Extremely disappointed in this house. There is a major moisture issue and the house was infested with ants. Most of the decks and outdoor furniture, what little they had, was covered with black mold and unstable. Our 4 month old grand-daughter had to sleep in her car seat because her porta-crib was covered in ants within 30 minutes of setting it up. The entire bedroom floor was damp and rain water poured in the master bathroom window. All 4 of our cars became infested with ants and several of us got sick. One family member came home with a serious sinus infection. We have been vacationing in the Outer Banks for 21 years and we have never have had such a horrible experience. Can't trust Surf and Sound Realty's poor judgement to take our money and offer this house for rent!

great time!

We were very pleased with our stay! The location was perfect! We were disappointed that when we first booked, there was a hot tub, but there was none at the house. Also, we didn't get to check in until long after we were originally told we could, due to cleaning issues. However, the ppl who actually cleaned the house were super sweet and did a great job. All in all, it was a wonderful trip!

Nice but I wouldn't go back

Advertised a hot tub but it was broken. Advertised an outdoor shower but it was unusable. Coffee maker broken. Master shower wouldn't drain. Needed more outdoor chairs. I expect a beach house to be a beach house, but we should have had those things. I loved the pool and location. Easy walk to beach and a few eateries.
