It was four separate dorm type bedrooms and a common living area. "We really enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and the property was modern and up to date. We really enjoyed the coffee maker which made espresso and they provided-us with fresh milk, eggs & toast, (and of course, plenty of coffee). The Hosts provided-us with suggestions on places to visit and places to eat.While there we went to: The Cliffs of Moyer, took a ferry to the Cliffs of Moyer, Ashford Castle & to Connemara National Park.Plan to stay there, next time we’re in the area!"

"The Clybaun Hotel is centrally located to enjoy the different neighborhoods of Galway. Great central spot for taking side trips. The room was large, beds were comfortable, and everything from the bathroom to the floors were very clean. Bring your swimsuit and workout clothes as they have a super nice pool and gym on the underground parking floor. They do support the local swim team, but you are well notified of the times they are there and it is easy to work around. They have a delicious breakfast that everyone will enjoy. This hotel also has a restaurant called the Courtyard that you should make a reservation before arriving - check photos to decide if you want in the enclosed courtyard or inside. The restaurant staff was thoughtful, knew the menu, and so good. We were able to make a reservation when we arrived at 6pm for 8:15pm, so it is worth asking. The staff throughout the hotel were professional and went that extra step to ensure our trip was going well. Easy check in and check out. HINT: 1) For Americans driving there - The Clybaun Hotel sign is as visible as the Courtyard sign. My husband and I thought there were two hotels next to each other meaning two parking areas. Nope, that is the Courtyard Restaurant. 2) You can self-park in the open-air parking lot around if the hotel and they have a below ground parking lot for free. For a new driver on the other side of the road, it can be tricky, but nice to have. We definitely enjoyed our stay."

"Tiny rooms but that was part of the charm. Perfectly located for walks down to the water, shopping, near to the train station and amazing food within steps. Couldn't have asked for a better spot in Galway. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We found the hotel very quiet though we had room facing away from the street. Showers were HOT, perfect after a day beach combing. No elevator but the stairs were safe, plan accordingly if you have limitations or ask the staff for help if your bag is too heavy for you. We would stay here again when we return!"
