The Reserve at Sugar Mountain is the best and most scenic mountain resort in western North Carolina. From the covered balcony, enjoy the natural beauty and the soul-satisfying views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Linville Valley. This deluxe Reserve condominium offers 1300 square feet of modern Comfort including a gas log fireplace, and a gourmet kitchen. This is a true year-round destination property with cool summer temperatures thanks for the 5,000 feet of elevation as well as walk to slope ease during ski season. Less than a five-minute walk.

Sugar Mountain Resort is just moments away from this condo, where you'll find an outdoor skating rink, snow tubing, mountain bike tours and a full golf course. There are plenty of restaurants close by, including Reid's Cafe and Elevations Restaurant. Sightseeing is plentiful in this area as well, such as the Foggy Mountain Gem Mine, Mile High Swinging Bridge and Grandfather State Park.

Several clicks away to being good

Old property lacking updates where needed. For the cost, terrible conditions with barely any towels, old beds, pillows. Not much to appreciate other than beautiful views.

Broken Refrigerator lost all food and NO RESPONSE

We recently stayed in this unit atop Sugar Mountain. Beautiful condo, Beautiful Views, Great price. However the refrigerator in our unit was not working. We purchased all the food we needed for the stay on the way in before check-in. It was cold out and the room was cold so really didn’t think anything of it when we piled the groceries into the freezer & Fridge. Well when we woke up the next day, everything in the fridge and freezer was spoiled. I have sent MANY text messages, emails and phone calls and I have literally gotten ZERO response. Worst management company ever. STAY AWAY no matter how nice the place may look on line!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Location Location Location

We rented this condo for my birthday get-a-way. The listing clearly states it is "First floor" unit. We drive 4.5 hours and pull up to find that the unit is not ground level, you enter and park on the second level, and this unit is downstairs, down a steep outdoor staircase. My husband is disabled and can not do the stairs, we messaged multiple times and left text/call/emails with no answer. We ended up sitting in the parking lot waiting, to no avail, no response, so we drove to a local hotel and stayed there. We still, to this day, almost three weeks later, have not heard back from the owner (Vacasa got back to us and said they are waiting to hear back too) so I had to appeal the charge with my credit card. Absolute awful stay, and a ruined birthday. Hubby was so upset as well.

Good but needs work

Condo needs carpets cleaned, shower handle tightened , loose tiles sitting in floor repaired entering into the kitchen and master bathroom, fireplace has gas control box just sitting with wires exposed outside on the stone harth! Remote for fireplaces does not work . Ice maker on refrigerator does not work( they did have ice trays ) Place needs a tuneup- I have stayed at other condos in the reserve that were a lot nicer for less money - a few repairs and this one would be worth the money

Great mountain place!

The condo was so clean and well appointed. The kitchen had all the tools and dishes we needed. The fireplace was cozy and kept the main room so warm. There's a great view of the mountains and it's just a 15 minute drive to the Sugar Resort slopes. We will definitely stay here again!

Sugar mountain stay

Fabulous View

We really enjoyed our stay. We like a nice view and we got to experience the beauty of that view on some perfectly clear days and the eeriness of it on a cool, foggy, windy day. There are a couple of suggestions we'd like to make. Though sufficient for our needs on this trip, we wouldn't classify the kitchen as gourmet, very adequate, but not gourmet. Also, the carpet near the kitchen and in the dining area could use a cleaning. With that said, neither of these things deterred us from enjoying our stay atop Sugar Mountain.

It was a nice location, but the beds with only a full size and king. We were expecting a queen and king bed. The carpet was stained up and looked bad. I probably wouldn’t stay in this condo again for what we paid or it.

Top of Sugar

Just a one nighter but it was perfect for what we wanted in the area. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Only issue was the check in...code did not work on door lock so had to call Vacasa and they gave me code to another lock box hanging by door. This was reported in another review so it seems they need to get the front door box fixed. Other than that...great stay.

Sugar Mtn Fall Getaway

Overall it was great! Location, view, amenities, comfortable bed, registration, price, all were great! Only notes: living room furniture could be updated, but was quite comfortable. Kitchen utensils could be updated. Definitely sufficient but pots, pans, and knives need replacing. We will definitely be back.

Nice unit.

We were unaware that there were 4 units and we were in the bottom unit and that didn't seem very clear in the description. We were given the wrong code to get into the unit so that was frustrating and the weather was wet and foggy. But we called the management company and they were quick to help. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the view because of the weather. The place itself had everything we needed. Very nice.
