Great place to stay

This place was awesome. View was very nice. Almost all we need was there. Felt we were just home. Make sure to open the bathroom door to make the room warm (heater is in the bathroom, there is a touchscreen heater in the room itself but it seems not working or maybe its just me, had to research how to use it) Didn’t know that we have to do it like that so the first night the room was so cold but good thing there were enough blankets to keep us warm, the fireplace didn’t do much to keep us warm. Overall, still place is good to stay for a large group.

Nice

It was nice with the exception of finding dog poop in the dining area. That just was unacceptable because I used to clean houses for a living and we checked wall to wall for cleanliness and made sure it was left in mint condition. We wanted to get away for just a couple of days but when I saw that it just threw me into a panicked mode. Anyways we did enjoy our stay.

Fantastic Views

Beautiful property! The views from the deck were unbelievable. Lots of space for our dogs to roam outside in the yard and lots of space inside for our family and my sister’s family. Convenient to restaurants and tourist attractions. I would definitely stay again!

Elk Hill Retreat

We stayed at this Elk Hill Retreat home, overall the home/neighborhood is pretty good, located on top of a steep hill with great views. Bathrooms are kind of dated. The check in process was kind of hectic as check in as at 4pm and we did not get to have access until almost an hour later (and check out at 10 sharp) the lady at the management office was very busy and was getting slammed with calls.

Such a great house for a big group!

Elk Hill Retreat is perched atop a hill about 6 min from the Sugar Mountain resort, offering panoramic scenes that will make your jaw drop. I'm talking about waking up to the sun kissing the peaks and winding down with the most breathtaking sunset you can imagine. It's like Mother Nature decided to show off, and Elk Hill is the front-row seat.We were a group of 11, and there was room for everyone and then some. No elbow-jabbing or awkward bathroom sharing situations here. The property is spacious, both inside and out. The living areas are cozy without feeling cramped, and the bedrooms – oh, the bedrooms! Comfy beds, fresh linens – they nailed the whole "home away from home" vibe.But the real MVPs were the thoughtful touches. Board games? Check. Bedding? Check. Dishes, cooking utensils, and spices? Triple check! It was like they read our minds and anticipated our every need. We had a master chef in our group, and the well-stocked kitchen made our culinary adventures a breeze. Great Space, Beautiful Views and Welcoming Interior

Two separate families with elementary age children enjoyed this property for a vacation and ski weekend. The home was clean and spacious with gorgeous mountain views. We enjoyed its proximity to the grocery store, ski rentals, general provisions, and also the local resorts. We would definitely go with this location again.

Pasamos un fin de semana en familia disfrutamos mucho, fue poco tiempo pero no dan ganas de salir de casa puedes divertirte estando allí. Lo único es que en temporada de nieve debes llevar vehículo apropiados que suban la colina, nos toco dejar los carros abajo y subir todoo. Por todo lo demas perfecto

The teens especially liked the game room with a separate kitchen , TV, pool table, etc. on the ground floor. Cleaners need to pay a little more attention to cleaning the throw rugs in the bathrooms, vacuuming and some maintenance needs. Otherwise all was great.

Good Trip and Location

Everything worked well, property had lots of room and worked well for multiple families sharing. Kids really enjoyed the pool table. Location to Sugar Mountain is great. Be aware of steep driveway if it's icy.
