We absolutely loved our stay here! There was more than enough provided for us to have a comfortable easy stay. The hot tub was perfect and the stars at night were stunning! We would love to stay again.
This property was so cute, it was perfect for me ane my girlfriend to relax and connect. We loved our mornings sitting on the front porch drinking coffee and listening to the creek below. The cabin was very clean and everything we needed was available. Would stay again.
Very friendly and fast responding hosts. Has everything you needed for a wonderful country vacation. Enjoyed the camp fire pit 2 of the nights, saw snow for the first time ever, walked the creek and just enjoyed all the outdoor scenery this cozy place offers. I definitely recommend this cute place for anyone's stay.
Bear's Den is a private oasis in the mountains. Enjoy nature and the sound of Big Ivey River while sitting on the front porch. Wonderful, relaxing place to stay.
My husband and I spent the weekend celebrating our anniversary and his birthday at this lovely cabin. We found it very clean with everything we needed for a lovely stay. The owners were very easy to reach by text and extremely nice. There is a lovely gas fireplace which we really enjoyed. Sit on the porch, or walk up a stairway to the good sized hot tub with a view of the creek down the hill and surrounded by nature. We hope to stay again!
Visiting family in Weaverville we loved the cabin the hot tub at night was the perfect end to busy days. Just minutes from Asheville and many activities.
Definitely recommend an SUV to get up that driveway, but it is so worth it especially if you’re looking for privacy. super comfortable beds, charming scenery and just so easy to recharge yourself and relax. Host was fast and polite in answering all my questions. Would definitely stay here again
The history of the home was very interesting! Hot tub hit the spot and the weather was perfect being it was 20 degrees cooler than home. Very quiet surroundings and beautiful! Thanks for having us!
The cabin is great though it doesn’t look exactly like on pictures. The hot tub is clean and functional. You need a four-wheel-drive SUV to get to the property.
I enjoyed the cabin and location. Happy that my doodle dog was allowed to come as well. The driveway was a bit of a challenge, however. We took our own bedding and towels, so we wouldn’t have to wait for washing machine.
This home is just amazing. Ive been staying here as a respite from the woes of the world for many years now. Private, serene and comfortable with an amazing hot tub to end the day. It is convenient to Weaverville or Mars Hill to get out and about. Big Ivy hiking areas are closed due to storm damage as Barnardsville was hit pretty hard by Helene so was relieved this cabin treasure was intact. I would recommend this lovely gem for your getaway any day of the week
My daughter and I stayed for our annual 2 week vacation away from "the guys". Bear's Den is everything we needed to recharge. The property and home are great. We spent a great deal of time outside painting, birdwatching, and reading. Listening to the river running was so relaxing. House has just about everything you need. The hot tub was perfect for after a hike. There are neighbors within view, but far enough away to still feel secluded. Just a wonderful place to get away and drown yourself in nature.
This is a cool little house in the woods. Pretty much exactly as described, with an interesting history. Perfect location for us to stay just a few miles away from Navitat Canopy Adventures so we could go ziplining there.Host is super easy to contact. Since its still just barely the beginning of spring we could see a couple of houses, but they are not close and in the summer when trees are full of leaves you probably can't see them. The driveway is kind of steep, like some others have said. Be prepared for that.We loved out stay here!
