Check in was very slow. They blamed staffing shortages, but room was nice. Food and drink was extremely overpriced, even by notoriously expensive Swiss standards. I’ve traveled throughout Switzerland for 5 years. It was high. So stay away from the hotel restaurant and you’ll be ok

Check in was great. I was able to check in early. My lower rating is due to the bed being so lumpy, i couldn't sleep on it. Very convenient to train station. Our stay included a Basel Transit Pass which made it very easy to connect by tram to the Viking dock. If you are staying overnight and arrive or depart by train its a great location.
