"Rooms were very clean . Shower and bathroom were great . Rooms were small as advertised for the queen /full but plenty of space . Great fridge and microwave . Rent chairs umbrella and beach pass at office . Walk to the beach is easy and 5 minutes . Bagel shop next door . Central location . Allowed us to explore the island . Pool was clean and convenient . Stayed was super sweet ! Can’t wait to come back !"

The Beach House at Drifting Sands

"Upon arrival, I would have given 5 stars, because what’s not to love about being right on the beach! Well, what’s not to love is a noisy AC unit that wakes you up from a dead sleep when it turns back on in the middle of the night. That, and the lights were kept on outside the room all night which the curtains do not block out entirely. One final note - there were lots of noisy car races throughout the night, which, if the AC unit had the ability to stay running without going into energy-saving mode, then I think it would have drowned out the background noise. That was not the case. I believe I was in the “Efficiency house” which is to the left of the main property building. I plan to come back because the room was clean and the location can’t be beat, but I will try a different location within the property. If you are able to: 1) turn off the outside lights/get better curtains and 2) Get an AC unit that can run throughout the night to block out uncontrollable outside noises, THEN I would have no problem giving 5 stars!"

"Daddy O exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Every staff member made us feel like valued guests, and the little touches—like the fresh cookies—made our stay even more memorable. Our room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The linens were some of the softest we’ve ever slept on, making it easy to relax after a day on Long Beach Island. The entire property felt thoughtfully maintained, stylish, and inviting. We left already talking about when we can come back. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with exceptional service and attention to detail, Daddy O is absolutely worth the stay."

"the hotel is a renovation, and it has all the right elements for a great beach vacation on the beach side but can easily see the bay. Get to the downtown area in a few minutes. the rooms are up to date and uses the space in the room right down to the last inch. the air conditioning could use an upgrade and they might what to put a few more lights in the room, but overall it works for a family of 4. or a couple the pool is great for the end of day after the beach and the staff is extremely friendly"
