I upgraded to the hotel tub room when I got to the hotel. They were very accommodating. The lady at the desk was VERY friendly and super sweet! The room was okay.. I was not able to use the hot tub because it was really late when we got back to the hotel from the casino (the reason for our trip) ...

Pine Lake Retreat had great amenities and location! The beds were super comfortable! The water in this area is really hard and high in iron. The only improvement I would suggest is a larger water softener system because it caused the water pressure to be very low when regenerating.

Host seemed welcoming. They went out of their way to bring shovels and salt at the first onset of a snowstorm. The stay was so peaceful and relaxing - just what we wanted. Beautiful lake view. Will definitely stay again if we return to Plainwell!

I don't know if there are enough stars or good words to say about this house or these hosts. The house was as advertised (cozy, accessible, and well-equipped). It is close enough to Hastings, MI, to get what you need, but far enough that you feel like you're on vacation. It is also nice to wake up ...
