For days out closer to home, there is plenty to see and do in this charming waterside village, with a great choice of local bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from, all within half a mile. The beach (300 metres) is incredibly popular with dog walkers, with pretty boats lining the shores and tall sand dunes fringing the sands. Or, take the foot ferry (300 metres) over the river to Appledore for a day exploring the many galleries, cafes and winding streets of this pretty fishing village.
