"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"The Old Chapel is a stunning self-catering property. Very spacious, very comfortable, beautiful views, huge garden for children to play, well equipped (we couldn't use some things due to Covid restrictions, but we could see what was there). Check in was easy, communication with the owner was good. Very suitable for 2 families to share, as second floor rooms share a bathroom and first floor rooms both have ensuite. We really enjoyed our stay here!"

"The property is well located for amenities, it is in a nice area and is modern and well maintained. As a holiday stay it was nice accommodation for a week, however, there was hardly any room to swing a cat in the bedrooms and the beds are not particularly roomy or comfortable - but that could just our preference. The rental price was top end for the area in April 2021. It will be interesting to see what comments visitors have from July/August re prices. Overall it was clean, modern and pleasant...

"Loved the ‘Olde Worlde’ charm and history of the Inn, The only minor fault was that there were no leaflets of surrounding places of interest to visit. However we would would highly recommend This property. Thank you."

"This was a lovely choice to stay in North Devon near Bideford and particularly for me for visiting RHS Rosemoor. The property is very close to all sorts of attractions plus the coastal path. The easy parking felt very safe to leave the car and my room was compact but very well appointed with a superb wet room, dressing gowns, kingsize bed, choice of pillows and a generous amount of tea/coffee etc. The continental breakfast is delivered to your room and was beautiful and plentiful and varied from day to day. I stayed as a solo lady and would not hesitate to book again or recommend Moorview to others."

"There,was only one lift for the whole hotel which was,a really old one and only held 4 people.Our room was,not cleaned or wet towels replaced until we complained of tea tray filled up or bin empties.We had to complain on three r Occasions.There,were no bed side lights so if you got out in the night you had,to fumble for a switch.So had,to buy a torch ,.a A notice said it bathroom floor gets set it is,slippery.Surely bathroom flooring should be slip proof.Bathroom was cramped with a ridiculous glass sink. My mattress had a spring coming through which hurt my back so had,to turn the mattress over.Seemed to be a,lack of staff.We were,so miserable we checked out a,day early.l had,a holiday spoiled.Would not recommend it at all"

"The cottage is in a perfect location - walking distance to some lovely places to eat and the general charm of Appledore. The view over the estuary from the cottage garden is amazing. The cottage was perfect for us."
