Loveky stay

My stay at Latchmead was fantastic. From the minute I arrived my host was very attentive and friendly showing me my room, advising me on a good place to eat and booking me a taxi for the following morning. The room was very clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the shower incredible. Breakfast the next morning was out of this world .. attention to detail, well presented and delicious. The location is 6 miles from Stansted and I would highly recommend and definitely stay here again 😊

Great place, highly recommended

Clean spacious rooms in a very convinient location about 4 miles from Stansted airport. The owner is very nice and helpful and the area is simply beautiful.

Clean, quite, peaceful and comfortable

Well organized with details of checking in available to us on arrival. Well written instructions on how to access our room and kitchen area. We did not see any reception desk or staff while we were there which is ok. Clean room and they arranged a breakfast table for us in our room as we arrived late at night from a party and got up late in the morning.

Great host, great accommodation. Only thing I forgot to use was the ear plugs as one can hear the aircraft noise.

Depressing

We turned up with the intention of staying but decided not to stay when we were shown our accommodation which was a glorified garden shed situated down a muddy lane with aircraft coming in to land at Stansted. Freezing cold day and no heating on until we actually arrived.

Great Location, Great people

The room was lovely, the bed divine, the breakfast amazing and the couple who own the B&B are hardworking and great hosts. They greeted me on arrival and took me to my room, which had the best mattress I've ever slept on. Breakfast was really flexible and had a great spread (fruit, Greek yoghurt, cereal, juice, tea, coffee, toast, full english) and they were accommodating for our dietary requirements (vegetarian and dairy-free). The area is ideal for Bishop Stortford. I would recommend this to anyone!

Breakfast "with love"

Hard to beat this one. A "home from home" in a garden room. Best shower and well worth the £4 for full English breakfast. Charming hostess, Easy access to town - countless restaurants and take-aways. Very good value for money and we'll book again. Thank you Paula, you're a star.

Nice place. Easy access to the airport.

Nice place with friendly and personable keeper. Tucked away setting with lots of green around. Close to the airport, so there is some airplane noise, but far enough from the road that you can't hear traffic. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

På väg mot High Clear Castle

En övernattning inför fortsatt resa mot High Clear Castle. En mycket sen ankomst pga sent flyg, lång lång passkö mm så fick vi väcka ägarinnan (och hunden) vilket var mycket pinsamt för oss. Vid frukosten fick vi ånyo be om ursäkt och sedan berätta om vår förhoppning om att komma in på High Clear Castle, vilket vi gjorde :-) om du ägare av detta b@B läser detta så ska du veta att vi uppskattade mycket att få stanna en natt hos Dig!

This is a very well presented facility in a quiet rural setting except for some aircraft traffic overhead. However it is still very good. The host is very friendly.

Var där endast en övernattning men kommer definitivt att återkomma nästa englandsresa. Nära till flygplatsen och järnväg och ändå naturnära. Gångavstånd till pubar med riktigt bra mat och miljö.

Lovely place to stay

Absolutely gorgeous room with doors opening onto garden. All very comfortable. Delicious breakfast. My only criticism would be the planes are noisy and the remote volume needed to work better so could turn up volume when a plane went over.

Quality guesthouse.

Absolutely first class stay. Very friendly staff and made to feel most welcome. I would definitely recommend this wonderful guesthouse to anyone thinking off booking in the Bishop's Stortford M11 access area.
